I did read it madam , how can I not ? It was a stress buster. I paid attention to 4 coins as I am doing FM 😭 but tell me more about the ring 😎 .

This was a fantastic update. I loved that we got a bit of Akbar's musings!!!

Chapter 6 - An emotional and intriguing chapter Lashy. Mahendar's plight was truly heart-wrenching and it reminded me of the battle Durga held for her life and the last line you wrote for her..

What a promising life has thus been wasted!!

Hmm!! Hope Mahendar finds solace in revenge, though not sure if it is ever possible!!
He, being a small prince and fighting/winning over the future Emperor and his barbarous men... I don't know if it is possible and even if he did.. I'm unsure of him achieving the real solace!! Hope time heals his wounds.. and since this is fiction I'm requesting our dear author to please be kind to Kunwarsa and make him meet another Durga-like 😳😆

Moving on to my favorite part - Heera 🤗🤗🤗 This chapter, I felt her thoughts and actions best portrayed the real Heera - the one whom Durga lauded - Brain is your weapon. Every sentence you wrote about her asserted her canny brains... I especially liked her question to Bindiya about the look of stables.. How wisely put Lashy!! 👏👏👏 Her talks to Jiji, her enquiry on Akbar, letter to Mahender.. every bit of it perfectly elevated her character!!

And then comes the saffron pilaf.. 😆 After reading the food-tester's expressions and when Maharaj asked if its poisoned, I was like - Poison might have tasted better. Poor Parnagarhis 😆

Best parts of the chapter for me - Return of 4 dams and topaz ring. I'm curious to know Akbar's reasons for returning money and more than curious to know when and how is he compelled to look back at HAZEL ring 😉 once again!!


My fav. line -
Of course, emeralds and sapphires were costlier, but they were also flamboyant and common - two traits he didn't care for.

In one sentence you depicted Akbar's character and also gave the reasons why he'd fall for Heera in course of time - Non-flamboyant and Uncommon!! And I associate cost with Royalty here... Had he desired he can get hooked with costlier rings/royal women but he prefers exquisite, unique pieces/unique girl.. cost/royalty doesn't matter him ... am I correct? 😉


Right now most of the reader's eyes should be like Heera's -
the 'look' they had, when she was faced with an unsolved puzzle that baffled her!

Because there are too many conundrums to be unfolded.. Akbar's stories of past, his royal connections, his warrior-like skills, his aloofness, last but not the least... Ustaad!!

Who's this man who trains Shehzaade's men and why is he mentioned? 😆

Liked and enjoyed this chapter thoroughly Lashy... and the exact feeling I had at end of it is - Wish this is a bound novel in my hands so that I can sit back and read with freshly fried corn!! 😉

Not my fault.. its raining here and our Khan sahib is too puzzling to wait for many more Sundays . Love ya... 🤗
