Starting with my apologies 😛 very sorry for being late .

Coming to the chapter ... Ab aapne likha to acha na hone ka to swaal hi paida ni hota 😆 . But u got confused here by mentioning this ->

'We are not treated like we were during Shehenshah Jalal-ud-din Mohammed Akbar's era ...or even during Shehenshah Jahangir's era...'

What is this supposed to mean ? 😕

But as long as the role of Mughal Prince is played by Rajat , m all awesome with it 😉😛 . Hero to vahi h naa 😉 . But this chapter was devoid of his presence , i was waiting to see him i mean to read about him 😆 but as i got to read about the 'Heera' of the story , m not even a bit sad 😛.

M already loving the character of Heera . As I mentioned above , she truly is the 'Heera' of this story . And her description about her Prince Charming . 16 bars ki chori kho chali spno mein 😛. But reality is as always far away from dreams . She's going to get a Hot shot Prince instead of the sweet kind one 😛😆 . N m intrigued to know if at last he would change into one ?

The horse ride of the love birds was magnificent . I actually like their jodi 😉😛

But what happened to Durga ? ... Is this all related to the land issue ?

Means it is mid 1600s... 100 years after Akbar's rule... us samay kaun thaa...

Lashy di, I am really sorry for being late with my comments. Just returned home three days back, and then again extra classes. 🤢😆 Will be on time from the next time, for sure. 😃

The chapter was beautiful, really beautiful! 😳⭐️ There's something about historicals which makes them so attractive, perhaps the power to recreate the era if powerfully written, just the way you do! ⭐️😳

Bindiya is one hot-headed girl, she needs to calm down! 😆 In this entire scene though, my sympathies were with with Ratan Kaka...😆

By the way I love how you are giving attention to some minute details of the seemingly not-so-important characters. Like : Her instincts were right. They always were. After all, it was this insight, combined with her good sensibilities and immense charisma that fooled many into thinking she was an aristocrat, when in reality, she was chief-maid. A caretaker. A duty, she fulfilled with great pride and dedication, thus earning the respect of one and all

And : Mohan banna - the rank of 'chief' more a reflection of his leadership and dedication, than of his age, since he was barely older than 30

This gives a touch of reality to the story...and makes it easier to imagine all the characters and their equation with the leads.

what with her quiet departure from the camp following a hush-hush message she received from jijasa a short while ago.

Loved the way Harka handled the situation. This girl is awesome...👏⭐️ The tact was so diplomatic and sophisticated, it hardly seemed a tact! To add to it, she added the hot snacks too... 😆 Very well played, indeed! ⭐️ And the poor man tried so hard not to fall into any possible ploy, but could not make out anything. It was funny to see how clumsy and confused he was getting. 😆😆

She gave them a look - it was not a glare - it was not a stare - merely a 'look' and the men knew they were beginning to cross the line. The very next instant, they hung their head in remorse

^ Wow! What command and authority a simple look has! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved the last little bit you showed between Harka and Ratan Kaka. That was so cute! 😳

'This is bliss! Doing what I love, with the man I love... what could possibly be more heavenly?' Durga concluded, the romantic in her wishing it all never had to end, though the realist in her was aware that other urgent responsibilities were beckoning them at that point.

^ Beautiful lines... loved them. Especially loving this romantic in the warrior Durga. 😳

And the Kunwar and Durga do make a cute couple. Apart from the teasing, the frequent meeting of eyes, and blush and all... adorable! 😳 But no, I'm not imagining them as AkDha... seeing the fate they have ahead!

'Aren't they beautiful together?' Heera remarked softly, while they lazed on the dry patch of grass, waiting for the duo to arrive

Heera is so cute herself...loved her remark. 😳

Though her responsibilities required her to be a mature young lady at most times, inside, Harka Bai was every bit a 16 year old who still fantasised of finding the kind of love her jiji had found. But not everyone knew that. Because unlike the older sister's impassioned charisma that blazoned like wild fire, the younger one's luring personality was quiet and calming like the smouldering coals of a homely hearth. She wasn't the agile horse-riding weapon-wielding athlete her jiji was, but what she was, was a gifted learner. A mathematician. A linguist. A biologist. And most importantly, an expert healer. By having never let pride get in the way of acquiring knowledge, she'd thus accomplished at 16, what most people twice her age couldn't.

^ Totally loved this paragraph! ❤️❤️❤️ And the below lines too! 😳⭐️

And despite such exceptional intelligence and beauty, her best attribute, people thought, was her grace. In the face of adversity, she was more poised and stoic than most aristocrats. The same patience and composure with which she tackled challenges and managed business had allowed her to convert a barren patch of aangan into a sprawling herbarium.

Infact, so extraordinary a lady was she that a few jealous contemporaries wondered if she was too well-read, too beautiful and too mystical for her own good.

But her own people knew her true worth.

'He had a large family' she spread her palms out, relishing the thought. Growing up without an extended - or even an immediate family - had made her crave for the presence of a busy household more than most 'Lots of sisters and brothers to interact with... and even cousins, nieces and nephews to dote upon!'

^ Awww... this is so sad! Life sure hasn't been easy and all goody-goody for this teen...

I totally loved the way how Harka built up all the suspense only to take her friends for a ride...😆😆😆 The reactions of them during the description of her dream man and after the end of it were hilarious...😆😆😆

'My lands are still with me, because I give greedy tyrants NO reason to take them away!' Durga proclaimed, the grins of a demure lover having effortlessly evolved into those of a determined leader in no time

^ Loved these lines, again. The transformation of Durga is appreciable! 👏👏👏

His expressions mellowing many shades gentler, he turned to wish the younger heiress 'Take care, Harka... and please take care of my bride for me...'

^ Aww... totally in love he is! 😳

wiping off a tear that she vowed would be her last

^ A line so deep, and a scene even deeper! Loved loved loved the bonding between the two sisters! So much like normal people, yet so much beyond that... It's as if they have said to each other much more than what meets the eye...❤️

Both heiresses burst out into a bout of heartfelt giggles - giggles that were laced with many layers of sadness and fear, a fact that was not hidden from either sister.

^ Again, very deep lines... with a hint of what is to come.

You have to stay back and take care of all this when I'm gone!'

Heera's empty glare drooped down till it fell upon the two artefacts nestled within her cold palms - a diamond ring and a small urn of ashes - precious artefacts that not too long ago formed the very identity and essence of Durga Bai

'I didn't even listen to your last words, jiji!'

^ I, for one, had never expected this to happen...😲... I mean you really killed Durga - such a marvelous character! 😭 Wish this could be changed...😭
