In the novel "The Spanish ballad" (Russian name or "Die Jdin von Toledo", German) Feuchtwanger wrote about the features of Moorish architecture. Houses were built very skillful with a ventilation system and fountains. There has always been cool. I in the childhood very much loved this novel. Have you read?
