Prologue
"Hey lover boy, how are you today?" She asked him but there was no reply.
"Aww, is my baby angry at me?" She asked again but again there was no reply.
"I am sorry I am late, I was caught in traffic." She tried again but again he just kept silent.
"Okay fine, what do I have to do to make it up to you?" She asked him and continued saying "You know very well that I don't dance or sing or even hang out with my friends anymore. The only thing I do every day is come here to sit and talk with you and return home." Her eyes welled up as she finished speaking.
"Can you believe that I, Jodha Sharma am crying?! I mean me who never once cried so easily am crying right now."
After a pause she said "I miss you." Her voice broke as her tears started to flow freely down her cheeks.
"I miss you Jalal."

"Jodha, you are just in time. I have good news for you." Lavanya said.
"What is it aunty?" Jodha asked her aunt.
"I met an old friend of mine earlier and guess what."
"What aunty?" Jodha fought from rolling her eyes, her aunt can be really annoying sometimes.
"She wants to come over and talk about the rishtha."
Jodha's ears perked up on the word rishtha and asked "Whose rishtha aunty?"
"Mine." Lavanya replied sarcastically before saying "Yours of course, who else?"
"But how can that be?"
"What do you mean?"
"How is that possible?"
"I told her about you and showed her your photograph, and she liked you instantly. Apparently she was searching for a ladki for her son, Suryabhan."
"Aunty, I don't want to get married."
"Jodha, you are not getting any younger you know. You have to get married sooner or later."
"I am not doing it. I told you many times before that I will not get married."
"And I told you that I don't care what you want. I will decide what is best for you."
"You have no rights to do that."
"I have no rights?! I took care of you, you ungrateful girl! If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even be here!" Lavanya spat out.
"Oh is that so? As far as I can remember you hated having me here, and you always try to get rid of me some way or another. If it wasn't for the inheritance my parents left me, you probably would have thrown me out. And just to make things clear, I will never ever marry this Su-whatever-his-name is guy! Not even if he is the last man on earth!"
Lavanya slapped Jodha and said "Listen carefully because I am only going to say it once. You are to marry, no you will marry Suryabhan and if you don't, I will personally drag you up to the shaadi mandap. Do you understand?!"
"That will never happen!" Jodha spat back.
"Well then, be prepared to get dragged on your wedding day."
"I will not marry him!" Jodha cried out.
"Look Jodha, I am doing this for your own good. How long will waste your time going to that stupid place?! It's better if you let him go. I honestly don't know what you see in that penniless orphan."
"You wouldn't understand even if I tell you. I love Jalal and I will always love him! No one will ever replace him!"
"Yeah, I can just see how much he loves you." Lavanya mocked her.
"I hate you!" Jodha cried before running to her room.
