Paridhi's P.O.V:
"Beta,will you marry Rajat?"
I looked at my dad in shock.Shock was really an understatement in present situation.
"Papa..I?
"I mean how can..I?"I stuttered while speaking.
But really how can I marry Rajat when he loves someone.
"Beta Rajat's fiance ran away from the wedding.."Dad dropped another bomb now.
"What.?"
"Yes Pari,Priya is just another gold digger who wants Rajat's money and all the while she just acted."
Oh poor Rajat!
My dad took my hands into his large ones and said"Beta,you've been always Himanshu's first choice for Rajat but when Rajat introduced Priya,for the sake of Rajat he accepted their relationship."
I stared at my dad and I can tell he's worried deeply and I can't see my dad like that.
"Papa I don't know anything but one thing I knew is whatever you do that is for my own good and if you want me to marry Rajat,I will marry him."I assured my father who smiled in relief and kissed on my forehead.
"I will call your mother and Lavina to get you ready"
Saying that he went to call my mom and bestie.
Rajat's P.O.V:
"Maa,I can't marry Paridhi."
"Why?what's wrong with her?"my mother glared at me.
"Everything is wrong maa.We are poles apart and ..and I don't have any feelings for her.I don't love her maa"I sighed in defeat.
"You can learn to love her Rajat.She's a gem beta don't loose her "my mother pleaded.
"No maa.I'm still in love with Priya then how can I marry Paridhi?"I tried to give a reason.
"Come back to your senses Rajat.Your so called lover cheated you for your money."my mother yelled at me.
Every word coming from my mother's mouth only added fuel to my grief and anger.
"I'm done with you mom.Get one thing clear I'm not going to marry anyone."Saying that I walked out of the room but stopped in my tracks when I heard my mother words"Take one step out Rajat,you will see my dead body."
I turned back and saw the stubborn face of my caring mother who just a few hours ago comforted me and now hell bent to bind my life with a stranger.
My already broken heart couldn't bear if any thing happens to my family.My love had already put my family's honor at stake and now its my turn to save it by marrying this stranger.
"As you wish maa"I said and saw my mother's smile.
Paridhi's P.O.V:
I stared at my reflection in the mirror.
Gone was the simple girl I knew and there stood a beautiful lady.
"You look beautiful Pari.Bhai is so lucky to get you."my bestie cum my would be sis-in-law Lavina hugged me briefly and smiled with tears.
I smiled back at her.
"Beta are you ready?"my mom asked entering into the room and stood agaped looking at my bridal avatar.
"Aww!My baby is the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen. Let me put a tika,so that my baby doesn't get any evil eye."my mother said smilingly keeping a dot of kajal behind my ear.
"Come on now.It's time to go."my mother said holding my hand.
Well this is it.
We walked towards the mandap and soon dad took my hand and made me sit beside Rajat.
The pandit started to recite the holy mantras.
My dad took my right hand and gently placed into Rajat's hand. A smile crept on my face when I saw how perfectly my small hand fits into his larger one.
Dad placed some flower petals on my palms and poured milk and said some words which pandit asked him to repeat.
And with that my dad gave my entire responsibilities to Rajat.
Next we stood to takes vows circling around the sacred fire.Both of us gave promises to each other to love,to cherish...
Now comes the ultimatum, mangalsutra and sindoor which makes me finally Rajat's wife.
When he tied the mangalsutra around my neck I promised myself to love him and keep him happy and when he smeared the sacred vermillion at my partition I gave my heart&soul to my husband forever...
