Just glanced at the sad and shocking news. So, the journey of two and a half years finally comes to an end. I have read numerous posts of yours over this time, sometimes I did not agree with your views but the quality of your writing has never ceased to amaze me.

You transform a good episode into a magical one with words, the two best examples are the Jalal Bharmal encounter, and the Jalal at the dargah pleading for Jodha's life.

It is unlikely that our paths will ever cross again so I wish you best of luck and renewed health. Thanks for all the wonderful posts over the years.

Shyamala dearest just got your pm will pm you after work and yes very rightly said that the show was good only upto 100 episodes and after that it was tiring on the soul to see Akbar's image suffer to such an extent! I too will adieu JA forum as there is no reason left for me to come here, we will stay in touch like the rest of us and rajat's show might come soon and we will regroup there...fingers crossed!

aunty, its nice to read ur posts & sad tht this is ur last post. but in a way im happy bcoz personally i had already given up on the re-runs. just watch it occasionally. anyways, honestly i dont think anyone is more poor than rajat bcoz he had to go through the most poor scenes & characterization especially after leap. at least jodha's character was always consistent. jalal was turned from the alpha male to joker, dumb,budduram to spectator to majnu. as u said the right balance between the 2 leads was totally missing. so re-runs doesnt excite me anymore. hope to see u again with fabulous posts & obviously where once again we can clash.😉

Shyamalaji, i've read almost all of your reviews and loved them all...mostly coz i feel the same way about the characterisation of jodha as you...a flawed character for full show i felt...whenever she was praised by Jalal or HB, i felt like there was an undertone to it... Esp. Jalal's...always inconsistent i felt...

Anyways, i enjoyed your writings and sad there wont be more...many a time i had been in splits like in this one for eg.

(as no supplementary offerings will be expected of them now)

I had been most busy these 2 months, but still managed to read all post ..thanks mostly to your PMs...otherwise i would've missed them...and Thank you so much for your PMs...

I look forward to reading more of yours...GOOD LUCK...

I am going to miss your posts even though we seldom agreed. I think you made the right decision. Your posts are elaborate and very well written but the response for the last 2-3 has not been enough for you to justify spending hours making the post especially at the cost of your health.

It is a busy time of the year for me so I usually have just enough time to peek in and make a quick remark here and there.

I hope to meet you on some other forum. Hopefully we'll see Rajat in CGM soon.

My dear Devki,

Thank you so much for spelling out what I have been trying to make folks here understand: that there simply is not enough interest anymore in the serial re-run and thus in my posts. I was getting really tired of having to do them, for one needs feedback to keep one going. Plus I am nowhere near as fit as I was in 2013.

Yes, we often did not agree, but you are a worthy opponent, alert and articulate and strong-minded. I do hope we can get together again next year for Chandragupta Maurya, for I do not see myself writing for anything being shown now. Boy, am I glad I never touched Ashoka!

Thank you so much, my dear Munni. I adore the boy, but of the photos here, I like him the best in the shots in the snowbound khema,in what looks like a fur coat.Those are fabulous.
