Dear Shyamala,
Good morning!
"Appada!" Thank you for your mail. For a moment I thought that you were not going to respond to my post because you were upset with my pig-headed comments about Jodha in that.
We have seen in many homes, the father repeatedly scolding the son, "nee uruppadave maatte" though he actually does not mean it in any way. An understanding son, like our Jalal, will not take it by its face value even though he will be hurt by it. Perhaps Jalal brushed it aside 'just like that'.
Please do not think that I am repeatedly putting forth arguments in favour of Jodha because I want to establish that she is very good-natured , but, because I am afraid that otherwise I will start hating Jodha to such an extent that I will be pitying our love(r)ly Jalal for going after this hard- hearted ,self-centred, head strong and foolishness- personified girl! And will be wildly imagining why did Jalal not allow her to die of Benazir's poison instead of troubling himself to put up a fight with her 'rooh' and wailing and begging before his God to bring her life back? And what a happy situation will that be for his khaas begum Ruqaiah and his Baddie Ammi (misspelt intentionally)? And Jalal would also be happy that he would not have had the misfortune of stripping his badi ammi off her doodh ka rishta status, and finally ending her up in kaal kotri! And all the three of them will live happily ever after! And we will also be happy that the serial will see The End with the 167.95 th episode, concluding with the ambiguous prediction of Shakuni Bai and the deduced ' lagtha hai' diagnosis of the Hakim Sahiba.😉😆

If you put up a statutory warning like you did earlier as a prelude in your oncoming posts, I will be careful to take away the chillies and savour the feast. However I will be eagerly waiting for the dessert, " Sunlight on the Butterfly's wings"! 😆

Jokes apart ...,
Shyamala, I take more than an hour and a half to give my reply to your post. The reasons being: (a). I am a one-finger typist. (2). I find it difficult to focus on reading and do the typing at the same time on my lap- top.(3) I can read Hindi script but it is difficult for me to read the Hindi dialogues in English script. (4) Then I have to find the meaning and essence behind them.(5) While deleting the portions that I have not taken up for reply, I sometimes erase the very important sections by mistake. I do not know how to retrieve them and I do not attempt it for fear of losing what I have typed already.
(If Shagun reads it, she will immediately come to my rescue!)

Hence, after an hour or so, I feel like sending the post without further comments.

My description of the functioning of Jalal's heart is just an instantaneous comment! I get such sparks occasionally!😉 Like the comparison I made in my "Musings by an IF member"about your lengthy analysis to the full time concert of an "A-grade" artiste !

Regarding your comparison of "Vasishtar vayaal Brahmarishi", I am hesitant to accept it , because this Rana Pratap of JA does not impress me at all. May be he was Vasishtar in the real history!

By the way I also remember another saying "Kuttuppattalum modirakkayyinaal kuttuppadaNum", which aptly fits to the "kuttu" I receive from you for my comments!

I also have the idea of watching PRC, but I do not know if I will like the teen Rajat with no moustache as Prithvi after watching him as a romantic Jalal!!!!😉😉😉
( I assure you -ILamai thirumbavillai!!)

Yours

Saraswathi.

P.S. It seems that you post your reply to me , just before you shut down your computer with a "Good night"" greeting!
And no wonder I see it immediately after starting my computer ,greeting you with a "Good morning"!

My poor dear Akka,

You are welcome, but what a trial I am for you all the time! Well, here is a nice, round Lindt chocoball - sea salt with a caramel centre - to soothe the burning sensation from biting that chilli, or rather reading my take on Episode 92! Roll it on your tongue. There, does it feel better? 🤗

I am by now a tad concerned, for I have only a small stock of these chocoballs, and seeing what my takes on Jodha during the snowstorm, when they get back to Agra, and again during her false pregnancy, are going to be like, you are going to need a lot of them!😉😉

And I am heartbroken that you missed my Vasishtar vaayaale Brahmarishi bit totally!😭 And here I was thinking that it would appeal to you particularly, as you must be familiar with that saying!

I have put my comments in, as usual, blue.

Akka, it is not even 6 pages, but only 5 as yet!

Shyamala

As for my Sunlight on a butterfly's wings, that is for Episode 169, and I am not sure I am going to last till then. It had, as I remember, 132 Likes and nearly 15000 viewings. I think you had better go to
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/100961869
and enjoy the kind of discussions we used to have then! The substantive part, before my chipmunks started fooling around, came to over 40 pages. If I did it now, I would be lucky to get 30 Likes and 6 pages of discussions. Here, you and I alone have accounted for 3 of these 6 pages! Can you wonder that I am reluctant to go on and on?

That, my dear Amina, is the question I have been asking myself all along. She does not even thank him after he had agreed to hand over the Ratanpur Qila, but has to be told by her dadisa to do so! So much for manners, not to speak of caring for him!

But that is the way young men are, they mostly fall in love with the most unsuitable young women, and then their mothers have to lump it!

But I am glad you liked this post.

Dear Shyamala,

I have read your "Sunlight on a butterfly's wings" already last year more than a couple of times. I was just joking referring it to a dessert in a feast.
But, Shyamala, what happened to those members who used to regularly post their comments even recently? As you say, it no longer appears to be a forum of group discussion.
I have been watching the Tamil news about the floods in Chennai. It looks very disturbing. My son , daughter-in-law and my grand daughter have planned to leave for Chennai on the 10th. I hope the situation improves by that time.

Saraswathi.

Yes, Akka, it is very disturbing. It is all due to the rank incompetence of the Chennai Municipal Corporation. The Bangkok one was just as bad. When we used to live there, the roads used to become canals every October!

As for those missing in action on this thread, I think they are all recovering from the assorted festivals or are travelling or too busy at work. I am planning to follow them pretty soon, Akka. This is a mug's game, spending so much time on writing these posts for barely a dozen readers. I shall shut up shop as soon as the Ratanpur Qila track is over, for the snowstorm bit used to irritate me no end, and all that comes after that, the conversion issue where Jalal behaved with unbelievable irresponsibility, the false pregnancy, and so on was worse, and not worth analysing all over again. And getting irritated anew too!😉

I know that you will miss me and my posts - though I am not sure of the ones that would have come soon after the Ratanpur Qila track!😉 - but we can always stay in touch, and in any case, after about No.100, my old posts begin to be quite detailed and I can hadly improve upon them. I am already planning what to do in all the time I shall save!
