Thanks for this beautiful post highlighting the attributes of all the parties. BTW, There is a blog article about Akbar and Amer relations too - Relations of Akbar with Mariam Uz Zamani and Rajputs of Amer

Since this battle was fought in personal presence of Akbar, hence it has a very detailed description.

Your welcome buddy. 😊
I had already read that post, but did so once again now. Another marvelous post of yours. 👏
Great to see so many evidences of Akbar's realations with Amer. I don't know what else some people need to be convinced of the Akbar - MUZ relationship.
I, for one, am a staunch supporter and believer of their tale. And of course, a huge fan of them too. 😳

Harshu, I don't remember the names, but the earlier CVs were really serious about the show. Theirs was a different case. Perhaps the show was new that time. Later they decided to ride on the popularity of the RT - PS pair, it seems.

Very true. The old CV's did quite a lot of reasearch, it seems. They were the best. Thes how might have lasted longer and with more logical tracks, or atleast would have had a glorious ending, if they had stayed.

BTW, Palak Kapoor was the creative head that time. After she left, everything went downhill.

Donjas,

If i remember correctly, then there is a comment of yours on this blog post - with a similar opinion about this battle's description, finding it to resemble a martial arts movie! Completely full of action & 'punch' lines by Fazl.

The description of elephants in the fight by Fazl reminds me of the Thai martial arts movie - Ong Bak. Flawless as usual, with Tony Jaa at his best.

Thank you Abhay for the interesting post.

The JA creatives have cleverly combined this battle with Sukanya's engagement to Sujanpur Prince (from a later date) thereby giving Jalal the satisfaction of taking revenge on the Ameri clan. According to Akbharnama, we see that Akbhar hears about the complaint about the dacoits from the villagers while he was on a hunting spree where he was not fully prepared and equipped for a war.
It is really touching to read the lines "...the clash made sparks fly out, and the elephant in a rage , doubled up the swordsman and trod him under foot..Just then a boy of fifteen, in his agitation, flung himself from a roof on to the elephant.Jughar Khan wanted to kill him, but his majesty in his mercifulness, did not permit him to do so..."

This is another example of Akhbar's inherent soft nature while dealing with kids.

Thank you once again Abhay for the timely post.

Saraswathi Aunty.

Aunty,

Interesting remark. Of course, this shows Akbar's other side of a warrior. Perhaps, Fazl wants us to see it this way. :)

I say this because - At the end of this war, 1000 people were sent to the "abode of annihilation by the fire of the Divine anger" by throwing fire in the homes of the Paronkh inhabitants on orders of Akbar. Hence, this act is in contrast with the above action of sparing a life by Akbar. But, being in a war, this can be justified.

Thank you for sharing your views. Please keep sharing these thoughts, because only after discussion the views get refined. :)

Thanks Devki.

There are many such instances in Akbarnama's narration of this war, where Akbar is supposed to have handled the situation almost on his own. If we believe Akbarnama then - Akbar risked his life at the drop of hat in wars. Paronkh's description is on similar lines.

Raja Badicand is identified as the king of Nagarkot. He also fought with Akbar in this battle as read in the post. Later, his kingdom was confiscated, too.!

I think in Gujarat war also it was a similar situation, was it not? There too Bhagwandas was next to Akbar.
As for Raja Badicand...like they say, no good deed goes unpunished.

We (can) get evidences when we search. Without searching it is NOT a wise decision to deny something. :)

Yes...It was Palak Kapoor. I can bet JA could have run for 5 years with complete ease because we had so much of available material and the leads were of course a favorite of the viewers.

Yes, Bhagwan Das was next to Akbar throughout that war. Mentioned it here also : Relations of Akbar with Mariam Uz Zamani and Rajputs of Amer

Raja Badicand's case was unfortunate.
