Bharmal and Humanyun met each other in a business meeting 20 yrs back.They became good friends and since then both the families were on good terms.Their family relatives offended their friendship as they belong to two different communities but all their words fell on deaf ears as the duo continued their relation.They supported each other in all thick and thins.weekends they used to visit each others houses with families and go out for picnics , movies ,restaurants ,parties etc.They even attend each others family functions no matter what others think about them.Their friendship grew stronger with years.Jalal and jodha were almost of same age and so they were more compatible with each other .They both spent their childhood together,same school,same college ,masti,pranks ,fighting on small unnecessary things ,everywhere they were found together. Hamida always wanted a girl child and so she treated jodha as her own kid. If Jo was hamida's muh boli beti then jalal was no less ,he was maina's laadla beta.jalal and jodha were so close to each other that many times their families confronted them about their relation but every time they summed it under"we r just friends " tag. After graduation jalal wanted to do his masters in abroad and so he took admission in Harvard university . After finishing his MBA he decided to join a small company there just for experience and later even wanted to settle their. But hamida and Humanyun's several pleadings dragged him back to INDIA after 3 whole years and that too on a very special day.
Jalal walked near the exit of airport and takes a cab. Singh mansion was not very far from airport ,he hopped inside the car and started listening songs in his iPad but was disturbed by a phone call.His face broke into a wild smile looking at the caller's I'd.Jalal immediately lifts the call.
Jalal- oh wow look who is calling, my soon-to-wed lady gabbar,finally u got time to call me haan .missing me huh? Are'nt u ,he raised his eyebrows with a smirk.
Jo- don't u dare call me gabbar ok,how many times I have to tell this?I'm getting married now,what will by husband think of me? She growled angrily.
Jalal- thik hai thik hai I won't call u gabbar again ,ok gabbar??. He chuckled irritating her more .waise now he became more important for u than me haan ,meri toh koi value hi nahi hai. He makes a puppy face and says in a dramatic tone.
Jodha chuckles but masking a fake anger she mutters ,jalal don't act smart, I know u very well ,stop ur drama and tell me where have u reached,I'm not going to hear any of ur excuses like fight delay ho gaya ,booking nahi mili ,flight choott gaya blah blah blah .Let me warn u jalal ,if u don't reach here on time ,I'm sure I will kill u,she said firmly.
Jalal - see thats why I call u gabbar,ur so bossy jodha ,I really feel pity for Surya yaar,waise does he even know with whom he is getting married ?, poor fella ,I can clearly visualize his future.he exhaled a deep sigh triggering jodha's anger to heights .
oh don't u worry about him ,uska Jo hoga so hoga ,pehle tum toh bacho,now tell me ur exact location ,jodha excalimed.
Hmm samjho pahunch gaya ,look back Jo , he said with a wide grin.
Jodha who was facing her back towards door ,turns around to face him.
Their he is,her childhood friend looking devilishly handsome as ever with his signature smirk.Girls used to go crazy for him in college days and this handsome devil ,never left any chance of flirting with them.Many girls even approached jodha to help them out in befriending him. Poor jo had do work like a mediator between him and those crazy girls .But that does not mean he was a bad guy, he know his limits very well and never dared to cross the barrier between him and his unlimited girlfriends .😆 Banda believed in serious commitments and so never crossed the lakshman rekha.😉
All her anger faded away ,finding her close friend right in front of her eyes. Oh god how much she missed him.even though they were in touch through phone calls but recently jalal got so busy in his work that he could not catch up with her.There were so many things to be shared ,so many things to be discussed ,finally the two besties were back together.jodha squealed in excitement and ran towards him embracing him into a friendly hug.
I missed u so much buddhu,she smaked on his chest lightly. Jalal too folds his hands around her petite form and says I too missed my lady gabbar.
Tears of happiness welled in jodha's eyes .
Oh pls Jo stop crying yaar, don't make me emotional now, where r the others?? I mean ammi ,abbu,uncle ,aunty and my jaan sukku?
Jo - They r downstairs , in the hall, didn't u find them there ?she answered wiping her tears with her knuckles
Jalal - I dint see them,I was in a hurry to meet u ,hmm okk leave them I will meet everyone later but first tell me about u and Surya and haan I want to know each and every minute detail haan ,don't u try to skip any important scene from ur love story ,he winked at her.
Jo- hmm first thing is this is not a love marriage like u think, papa's friend got this proposal for me,everyone liked him. Smart good looking ,disciplined and most important he is well settled ,he runs his own company ,jodha said proudly. Papa was so happy after meeting him ,and u know na I can do anything to see happiness in his eyes ,so I said yess.jodha explained shyly.
Jalal- but Jo as far as I know u ,didn't u always wanted to go for love marriage?
Haan jalal I know, but that was before meeting Surya.u know na love marriages r not always very successful and moreover u were also not here na ,agar tum hote ,then I would have choosed u only, i found no one here so charming that I go weak on my knees an fall for him ,jodha winks looking at him.Believe me jalal Surya is the best guy I ever met .

Before Jo could utter anything from her mouth ,they heard a shrill scream of humanyun *** bharmal***
The duo looked each others face in horror and rushed towards the hall.

Bharmal and maina stood near the entrance to welcome the guests but their minds were pre occupied by baraat's whereabouts.Tension started brewing up in them and they fixed their gazes on the road of the street.Bharmal was half heartedly welcoming his guest when he heard his mobile beeping ,he picks the call and listens to the speaker and the words he heard was beyond imagination.He drops his mobile and stood there frozen. His whole body became numb, tears brimmed in his eyes, he wanted to cry out loud but his voice was lost somewhere in his throat.his head strated spinning and the next moment he collapsed on the floor.
Humanyun who saw his friend collapsing reached out for him with a loud scream **bharmal**
Humanyun holds him through his shoulders and places him on the chair ,meanwhile all the other members rushed towards him.
Seeing her husband in such condition ,the helpless wife was scared like hell.many scary thoughts were flashing inside her mind.she could not take his silence more and she shook him hardly bringing him out of his trance
Bharmal raises his head above and the first thing he saw was his laadli daughter's face . he slowly gets up and takes his daughter in his arms.he could not control his tears and starts crying miserably.
The worried daughter pulls her apart and asks" what happend papa ,pls tell us ,u r really scaring us.panic engulfed her entire self.
Bharmal turns his head to other side and stammers "ev evry every thing is over beta.The bus in which Surya and his family was coming met with an accident .everyone was found dead on the spot including ja ja jamaisa.he holds the arm of the chair for support and sits devastedly as there was no energy left in him.
Jodha- no no papa ,ur mistaken ,I'm sure someone is playing pranks on us. Ja jalal if its u behind all this ,I will not leave u ok she said with a faint smile.
It's true jodha , Surya is no more said bharmal choking on his words.
She stood numb on the spot ,it was too hard for her believe it, she badly wished this all to be her nightmare.pools of hot streams flowed from her hazel eyes. Fate has played a cruel game with her.all her dreams were shattered ,her whole life came to an abrupt standstill,sweat glands made its place on her beautiful face ,she started swaying and was about to fall on the ground when jalal catches her and takes her to her room.JODHA fell unconscious.bharmal,maina and sukanya followed him
Groom's death spread like a fire in the hall .everyone started murmuring about the girls fate,some people empathize with the bride,some were unaffected with the news but there were some people who gossiped about jodha's ill fate. They even said she was a bad omen to surya's family and this was the reason for accident.
Hamida and Humanyun took the situation in their hands and polietly asked the guests to leave the place.
Jalal carefully places jodha on the bed.Mainavati brings water and sprinkles on her face and tries to wake her up patting her cheeks. Bharmal was now more worried about his daughter. After several attempts jodha was still not gaining consiousness , jalal takes his mobile out and calls the doctor.
Doctor reaches singh mansion within half an hour.she takes her BP reading and does the other needed check ups sending everyone outside the room.
She calls them inside the room after some time and prescribed some medicines.looking at the decorations and jodha's bridal attire, doctor dubiously declares her " pregnant" leaving the family members shocked to the core. (Including my readers ).
