Hi guys,

All of us are sad about Jodha Akbar ending. We wish RT and PS all the best in their lives. Jodha Akbar is a serial that has given me so much joy.

I am embarassed to admit that before JA my knowledge of Akbar did not extend beyond two things:

1)He was called Akbar the Great.
2)Akbar and Birbal.

Because of JA I came across this wonderful site, India Forums and in there I discovered an invaluable treasure in the form of History_geek aka Abhay's history posts.

Abhay and his posts took the experience of JA to a whole another level for me.
His posts were a treasure trove of historical information backed with relevant and appropriate references.

He did not force his opinion on anyone nor did he try to convince us. He just laid out the facts that he had discovered in his research and the readers could draw their own conclusions.

He came across as someone who was very neutral and unbiased. Someone who was solely driven by a quest for knowledge and sharing it. Not for fame and certainly not for money. All this made his posts very genuine, very real, very honest to me.

Abhay, I thank you for all the efforts you have taken in order to bring so much information to us. I admire and respect your passion, your attention to detail and your patience. But for you the JA experience would not have been half as good for me.

I hope you continue on your blog for a long long time to come. I, for one, will most certainly be reading it.

Thank You,

Devki

Thank you for making this heartfelt post, Devki. 👍🏼 😊 👏

I completely agree with each and every word that you have written.

Abhay has educated several readers all over the world. Cannot laud his efforts enough. If not for his blog, I would never have gained in-depth knowledge about several aspects of history. Reading books and manuals is one thing, but sharing the information and knowledge gained, by putting in hours of hard work, clearly reveals his selfless, hard working nature.

Alongside Abhay, Radhika has also made several interesting and informative contributions, to the blog. My sincere heartfelt thanks to both Abhay and Radhika for making history interesting and bringing several details of Mughal, Rajput, Mauryan royalty to the fore.

I wish you good luck, and infinite success with your blog, Abhay. You deserve every bit of it.

Devki,
I love this name 😳,
Abhay is really a multi talented boy .He amuses us every time with his vast knowledge ,not only history but other topics like sports ,politics ,music, art ...anything you name. This boy is so humble and modest too.A real gem...
And Abhay thank you for introducing this amazing lady ,MUZ .I have become a huge fan of this woman .But sadly EK and her bunch of devils called cvs ,made mockery of this lady and her iconic husband in recent tracks. But only because of you ,most of us came to know the real history.
Thanks again and god bless you.
Thanks a lot Devki for this thread.

Abhay is a gem. His unique insights in history have immeasurably enriched this forum. I have enjoyed so many of his posts, he has this unique writing style, entertaining and enlightening.

The good thing he never embellishes facts, he lets them speak for themselves.

Radhika and her explorations into the philosophical side of things deserves a special mention too. So many times after reading her posts, I have pondered and reexamined my beliefs over something.

A very thoughtful Post, thank you so much for this.

Abhay, thank you so much for your Blog and all the wonderful information you have provided us. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and indeed learned a lot too. Though the serial is ending soon, we will connect through via your Blog. I am on vacation in India, hence not able to respond to your posts promptly. Hoping to catch up soon reading all your posts.

The best aspect of Abhay is his humility.👏 Second, the way of putting across his point. Always polite and circumspect.
He has never expressed anger or displeasure even when contradicted. He chooses to ignore, which is very difficult, yet best. 👍🏼

I am sure that he must have been super-piqued with the comments of the serial Jodha-phobics, as he adores the real Heer Kunvri himself. Either he understands that the comments are directed only towards the on-screen characterisation or he chooses to follow the water policy and evade skirmishes...😆

Both of us have shared similar adoration for Akbar and other national heroes... I follow his blogs periodically and am amazed at the amount of efforts he puts. Am hoping that the blog evolves and extends to world history as well.

I am not a member of the blog and after JA, it may not be possible to 'speak across' unless he drops in in CAS or some other IF Forum. So it is Au Revoir right now. 😊

It has been very nice knowing him. And finally, I wish to congratulate him on his efforts in Wikipedia.👏

Thank you so much for this thread, Devki.
I wanr to thank Abhay from the bottom of heart for all his hard work, effort, patience in bringing us all the valuable information regarding real Akbar and Heer kunwar/MUZ. Thanks to Abhay, now when someone says something incorrect about jodha and akbar, ia m able to correct it.

Abhay, i have been inactive since past few month on IF and also on your blog, but i am hoping to join you soon, hopenall is going well with you. I really do not know how you find time and motivation to research and compile the information and describe it in a way that anyone could understand easily. Hats off to you, Abhay.
