hello ladies! i think we had lots of nice pics to drool over now i will take a little break and write on the very first episode but will focus mainly on rajat's part as akbar...

the soul talk..

the show starts with the soul talk and takes us 400 years back..they talk about their love for each other and loved rajat's voice modulation..that soft romantic voice which touched our hearts and was equally complimented by paridhi's voice taking us to the era when the two were alive and did not have this softness in voice and love in their eyes..that scene of soul talk was shot so well and what a perfect beginning! so unique! i would give the whole credit to the then amazing team of jodha akbar!

the two shadows talking to each other and then taking us viewers from the present era to 400 years back in a flash second was just like we are sitting in a time machine and we will be taken to those times for half an hour..but who knew that this show will have such a magical effect on us that we will not be able to get out of those times even after the episode is over..indeed a magical start...

pl take it from here and lets talk about the first episode and what impressed us most as far as rajat's performance is concerned and can someone please post the pic of their shadows by their kabar..! got the pics...

apoorva, rajat's confidence as jalal in the initial episodes was commendable! his whole body language had that royal..confident..shrewd..and also a look of a warrior as that was the phase when his junoon was to conquer and conquer at any cost..and also as he said in his farewell interview that he did read a lot about akbar's behavior when he was a cruel and a ruthless ruler..he actually portrayed that to perfection..! i could not even pin point a single flaw!

FIrst soul talk is what attracted me to the serial - The way his shadow / soul stood behind Jodha's.

Loved his voice when he asked Jodha - aap idhar kya kar rahi hai or something to that effect.

I love ONLY JALLAD JALAL. Even though he has shown range through his conversion and a smitten lover, I loved him most when he was arrogant.

1. All his scenes with Khan Bhabha. His turmoil of having to choose between him and his supremacy of badshah.

2. The walk he does to Smiley ruks first time he enters Agra, looking at her.

3. The justice he gives to young boy in DWAAM.

4. His pride and happiness on RUKS first pregnancy.

5. His delight on hearing Jodha's Poem and her good heart.

6. His duel with Jodha and discovering her warrior qualities

7. Him listening to Sufi song during Ajmer trip.

8. His rescue act of Jodha from suicide and his subsequent confession to Maham.

9. His scenes with MA, Adham Khan.

10. His scenes with little Rahim.

My absolute fav ended almost in 180 episodes though I continued to enjoy his brilliance later as well. As script slided, I could only marvel at his ability to still deliver goods.

He has an amazing range, superb skin tone, brightly lit face and above all gets into the head of character. He is a rare talent in today's telly where looks rule the roost.

He needs an excellent story, screenplay and direction. Result will be magical.

jaya very well said! and cannot agree more! he is a rare talent and there are no two views on that..and yes sadly these days more than talent looks predominate..whether one knows acting or not but should have a protein shake build up muscles...whether one has talent or not but should have a perfect height and physique! i agree that a complete package is needed to succeed but certain times its that unique quality that hits the bull's eye and that unique quality i have seen in this kid!

now coming to the show yes, i too liked him more in the initial episodes as jallad jalal but later too on and off in spite of the crappy script he did outshine many a times and few of those memorable moments were that mamu bhanji scene..that ghungaroo scene with salim..and also the drunk scene of the past week..although the charm is long lost but still his brilliance outshines at times just like a lotus flower..and yes i too wish that his unique quality gets its due recognition and that he gets what he deserves and he deserves the best!
