CHAPTER 24
Rukaiya entered her room with full anger and jealously in her mind. She came in and started throwing everything here and there. After the volcano cooled down she sat on her bed and went into past. She always gets defeated by Jodha in every way whether its power or position, Jalal or children. First when she came in this palace, she was just a mere Hindu Begum who Jalal married due to a political alliance but slowly she started occupying his mind and then started interfering in political matters. She also got the title of Begum-e-Khaas and came to her level. She also got the responsibility of Haram. In all these slowly Jalal started falling for her and even after so many misunderstanding they united and then one day she announced that she is pregnant with his children. She wanted to kill Jodha for stealing Jalal from her, so to destroy her happiness she asked Jalal to give her one child as she was pregnant with twins. Jalal was against the decision but Jodha agreed. After their birth, Hassan was with Jodha and Hussain was with Rukaiya. She had planned to kill Hassan so that Hussain could be the heir to the throne. But god had some other plans for her evil intensions. Suddenly she heard Salim's voice who came in with some exception that Rukaiya got some news about Jalal and Noor.
SALIM: - Ammijaan, did you find something about both father and the woman???????
RUKAIYA: - Salim, give some respect to your father. He is Shahenshah-e-Hind.
SALIM: - Ok fine, but did you get something about that woman????
RUKAIYA: - No, I didn't get anything about Noor. Jalal has played very smart by leaving the palace in disguise. He knew if people come to know about this then it would be dangerous for Noor.
SALIM: - AAA!!!!!!!! How always that woman escapes????? I really hate her even more now Ammijaan. I wish I could kill her.
RUKAIYA: - And you think it is easy to do???????? (Salim saw her with full of confusion on his face) Oh come on Salim, as if you don't know????? Noor is herself a well-trained warrior that to under Jalal himself. He had kept teachers for you and Murad but not for her. She was allowed in the court to discuss important issues at a very young age and even today you are not allowed to sit in the court. Don't you think its high time that you use your brains?????
SALIM: - What you want me to do????? (She went near him and whispered something in his ears. He got confused with the plan, but he had faith in her. So he followed her plan.)
Next day morning, Jalal and Noor reached Salim Chishti place with those four kids. Noor has been to this place for first time in her life of 16 years. It was simple yet beautiful place surrounded with small and beautiful flower gardens. To the back of a small hut there was a lake with crystal clear water. Noor and the kids were spell bound by seeing the place. Jalal went towards a small hut and Noor followed him with kids. He entered with Noor and she saw a holy man sitting in the middle of the room on a short bench and he was meditating. Noor could feel the positive vibes around her. It gave her some inner peace. They both walked towards him. Suddenly Salim Baba said.
BABA: - Come Jalal, come in my child. (Noor was surprised. They both stood near him and bent their heads on his feet. They sat in front of him. He continued) live a long and prosperous life my children. I know Jalal what is going on. I even know why have you come here, but first got and do prayer then I will talk to you. (They obeyed him and went to read namaz. On their way, Noor asked.)
NOOR: - Abba Hozoor, how did he come to know about us??????
JALAL: - He knows everything. You know, when Jodha was carrying you he had come to Agra to inform that she will give Mughal Sultanate the most prestigious ruler. (Noor was shocked by the revelation. Suddenly she remembered Jalal's birthday celebrations, now she started connecting the dots, the events which happened in the past. They went inside the mosque and did their namaz. They returned to Salim Baba and he said.)
BABA: - I know Jalal what brings you here, but with your permission I would like to talk to her alone. (Jalal without any argument left the room. Then to Noor) my child, why are you not taking your responsibility?????
NOOR: - Baba, you know everything but still you are asking?????? You know it that Hindustan will never accept me as their Malika in any manner. (Baba just smiled to her answer and just asked)
BABA: - ARE YOU SCARED?????? (Noor was shocked to hear this from him. She didn't reply anything. She just saw him with a blank face)
NOOR: - I don't know but yes there is something which is stopping me from accepting to take this responsibility. (Noor just bents down and touched his feet to get his blessings. Even Jalal entered around that time to ask his permission to eat and leave. Jalal was curious to know what must have happened. He asked Noor to go out and be with kids.)
JALAL: - Baba, did she get any answer what she wanted?????
BABA: - Jalal, she is scared of something?????? I am very sure that some kind of fear has come inside her. You will have to talk to her about this, but not now. Let she first ask herself. Let she fight the battle within her. She will get her answers. (Jalal didn't say anything much. He also took his blessings and went with Noor to have lunch.)
Jodha was sitting in her room and was busy inspecting her trading matters when Murad and Rahim entered her room.
RAHIM: - Aadaab Choti Ammijaan.
MURAD: - Aadaab Marium-uz-Zamani Ammijaan.
JODHA: - Aadaab Murad, Aadaab Rahim. Tell me what brings my children here????? (They both looked at each other with some stress in their mind. Jodha could feel something is wrong. She said) I will not waste my time in asking you, tell me everything.
RAHIM: - Choti Ammijaan, I got news from Altaf that there are some rebels in the Empire who are against Shahenshah's decision of making Noor as the heir to the throne. They are planning for an attack if I am not wrong. (Then Murad said)
MURAD: - You are right and not only outside the palace but also inside the palace there many people who are not happy with Abbujaan and my prime suspects are Salim and Rukaiya Begum because I saw Salim going to Rukaiya Begum's chamber and would hear many noises. One of the guards also told me that Salim was screaming that he will not leave Aapaa.
Jodha was totally shocked by what Murad told. She couldn't believe that her own son, her own blood wants to kill the person who happens to be his own elder sister, not someone else. Jodha felt like she has created a sin by giving birth to Salim. She wanted to kill herself but she wants to see how low he could go for just a throne and the rest will be seen after by Shahenshah and Noor. Jodha turned towards them and said
JODHA: - Rahim, I will inform Shahenshah about the rebels but you make your battalion ready for any move. (Then to Murad) You will not say this to Shahenshah that his own son wants to do something like this but yes be very cautious when he is around Noor. (They nodded their heads and went away unaware to the fact that the person who will comeback with Shahenshah will be the true heiress to the Mughal throne)
