CHAPTER 2

Today was the most beautiful day of his life. He was going to be a father and that to this happy news he was getting from his beloved lady JODHA. He went to his room, called a person to write a letter to Salim Chisti Shahab to keep his pure foot in his Agra and bless them full heartedly. As he was about to call a person to post this, A guard came and whispered something in his ears which was more than a shock. So without wasting any time he went towards the palace gate. When he reached there he was not ready to believe what he was seeing. He was dumbstruck. He felt like Al-hah was today in his favor. He increased his speed and went towards the person. He reached there, took his right hand and kissed at the back of his palm and said.

JALAL: - How come you are here BABA. How did you come to know that I was remembering you???????

BABA: - Jalal my child, wherever Al-hah takes me I go with him and today HE himself came in my dreams and said something so I could not control myself and I rushed here to inform you. (Jalal interrupted him)

JALAL: - Sorry to interrupt you Baba but I will suggest you to come inside and have a seat, take some rest and then talk. (Baba accepted his request and came in, had a seat, took some rest and by mid afternoon Jalal and Jodha came to him and spoke)

JODHA: - Pranam Baba, Shahenshah just told me that you have arrived. I m very sorry I could not come to receive you.

BABA: - That's ok my child. (Now to Jalal) Jalal it's good that you brought Jodha beti here. I wanted to talk to you both.

JALAL: - Baba, We both want to share a good news with you that Jodha is pregnant. She is going to give birth to our child.

As soon as Baba heard this, his happiness knew no bounds. For past 5 years even Baba was praying to Al-hah to give them the happiness of being parents. He knew Jalal and Jodha both have gone under too much pain, especially Jodha. She had suffered a lot by their children's death. Immediately he raised his hands and prayed to Al-hah.

BABA: - Thank you my lord Thank you, you proved that you are the real king of the world. You proved that you have only love in your heart for your devotees. (He softly rubbed his face and looked towards both of them and said) Jalal for the reason I came here now it is over. Today morning, I got a dream where a bright light was shown and a voice spoke "Soon all the problems are going to end. Soon Mughal Empire will get the person who will deserve to sit on the thrown. Who will be the shadow of Akbar the Great. Who will write the most glorious years of the Mughal Dynasty. And this will be the first time in the history of Mughal Empire which will turn the whole world upside down."

Both of them were in top of the world. There happiness was at sky. They were speechless. Both of them had tears in their eyes and looked at each other. Jalal nodded his head in "NO" and rubbed her tears. Suddenly they both got up and went towards Baba. They bent down together and touched his feet. Salim Chisti Shahab gave them blessing to prosper in life and always be happy. Jalal got straight and said looking towards Baba and said

JALAL: - Baba I know I will ask you something which will sound selfish but I request you to stay here till the child is not born. I want that the child should get all your blessing and listen to your divine words. (Salim Chisti Shahab gladly agreed to his request. Now towards Jodha) Jodha take some rest now then in evening I will take you to Diwan-e-aam to announce our happiness. Baba we would love if you join in our happiest moment of our life.

Salim Shahab nodded his head into a "YES". Now Jalal took leave and went to Diwan-e-Khaas and informed Atgha Shahab to inform everyone to assemble in Diwan-e-aam in evening for an important announcement. He obeyed his command. In harem, this news had spread like a fire. All his Begums were wondering what will be the news. Hamida herself was not aware about this. She wondered what was going on in Jalal's mind but she knew something must be very important so he has called everyone. From last many days he was being just a lonely person. She was little worried for him but still she was waiting for the evening.

Soon the evening arrived. Jodha was getting ready for Diwan-e-aam. She had worn a velvet dark purple Ghaghara and choli embroidered with real silver thread out of which floral designs were made. It had a silver white sheer dupatta which was bordered with dark purple and silver flowers were made. She accessorized herself with diamond neckpiece covered with white gold and its matching ear rings, mang- teeka, nose ring, bangles and anklet. She had worn a pearl and diamond studded kamar-patta to enhance her hips. She was ready and looking at herself in the mirror and was blushing very badly. Suddenly she heard and announcement.

GUARD: - HOSIYAAR, THE KING OF HINDUSTAN, JALLALUDIN MOHOMMAD AKBAR HAS ARRIVED.

Her cheeks turned crimson by hearing the announcement but she wanted to see him so keeping her blushing sideways she turned to see her prince charming coming inside her room. Other side Jalal entered her room and saw his beloved. His heart beat skipped for a second. He was in a state of shock. He was not able to digest that his lioness is truly back. Her doe-like eyes, her small cute nose, her rose petal-like lips and her perfect shaped body everything was back. Jalal slowly went near her with a wide smile on his face and stood in front of her. He bent little near her ears and whispered.

JALAL: - WELCOME BACK MY LIONESS. I WAS WAITING FOR THE OLD JODHA TO COME BACK AND FINALLY I HAVE GOT HER. THANK YOU. (And took his head up and stepped back and continued.) SHALL WE LEAVE????? OTHERWISE I WILL NOT GO OUT OF THIS ROOM TILL EARLY MORNING. (Jodha immediately blushed as she knew what was he indicating about and gave her hand and to him and processed towards Diwan-e-aam)

Everyone had already reached Diwan-e-aam. Everyone where waiting for their Shahenshah and his beloved begum. There was seat to the right of Shahenshah's seat. Everyone found it wired. Hamida was tensed as she was not able to find out what is going on. All his Begums including Salima, Rukaiya and other were present there. Hamida and Salima were tensed that Jodha was not present where else Rukaiya was happy as she thought that Jalal was still angry with her. Suddenly the guard made an announcement.

GUARD: - HOSIYAAR, HAZRAAT SHAIKH SALIM CHISTI HAS ARRIVED AT DIWAN-E-AAM

When everyone heard his name, they stood in his honor and saluted him. He greeted everyone and took his seat next to the Emperor's thrown. After sometime again an announcement was made.

GUARD: - HOSIYAAR, BADASHAH-E-HINDUSTAN JALALLUDIN MOHOMMAD AKBAR AND NOOR-E-MUGHALIA JODHA BAI HAVE ARRIVED IN DIWAN-E-AAM

As they heard this everyone stood up in their honor. They entered the hall by holding each other's hands and had a very pleasant smile on their faces. They greeted everyone and Jodha was about to go when Jalal caught her hand and said softly

JALAL: - Where are you going???? Your place is with me there. (Pointing towards the thrown and he walked towards it. He first made her sit then he sat on the thrown. All were shocked to see their Shahenshah like this including Hamida. Rukaiya was burning from top to bottom because of jealously. Then Jalal spoke up) I m sorry that I made you all wait for a while. Now coming to an important announcement I want to share my happiest news of my life to everyone together. That's why even I didn't inform my mother Mallika-e-aazam Hamida Banu about this. The first one to know this news was Salim Chisti Shahab as it was our wish to tell him first. So without wasting any time, your Shahenshah and your Mallika are going to be parents again. Yes Jodha Begum is pregnant.

As soon as they heard this news, their happiness knew no bounds. Everyone was happy for their Shahenshah and Mallika as they knew how much they had suffered in last 5 years. Not a single place of worship was left that they did not bow their heads too. But today their waiting is over. Everyone raised their hands and thanked Al-hah for this good news. Hamida was in heaven. She immediately came out of the curtains and came near Jodha, cupped her face and kissed on her forehead and said.

HAMIDHA BANU: - Congratulations my child, after so many years finally we will hear the sweetest sound of world, a child's voice. Thank you so much (And took out her pearl neckpiece and put it on her neck. All the while Rukaiya was trying to digest the fact that Jodha was going to be a mother. She wanted to kill Jodha that time itself but she controlled her feeling. Suddenly she heard some Begum's talks. They said)

BEGUM 1: - By lords graze, now everything will be fine. Jodha Begum is such a sweet woman. This many years she has suffered the most and today God has given her reward. I m very sure that she will be a good mother.

BEGUM 2: - Yes you are right and she also deserves to be Marium-uz-Zamani. She will be also a great support to Shahenshah. No wonder that she is Shahenshah's most favorite Begum, otherwise some people just show off themselves (Rukaiya very well knew that they were taunting her, but she kept quite. Suddenly Jalal announced)

JALAL: - WE WILL HAVE A JASHN BUT AFTER THE CHILD IS BORN AS I HAVE TO SOLVE MANY ISSUES NOW SO (And he got up from his seat then took Jodha's hand and carefully took her to his room and the assembly was dismissed)
