then once the influence of both his mentors was gone from his life he was shown acknowledging jodha's loyalty and honesty towards him, how much true it might have been historically but we cannot deny the fact that her family was very close to Akbar and served him with full honesty!..i was ok with subtle changes in akbar's personality but the way they were shown in the script were not convincing enough and disconnected..here ekta wanted to make akbar as one of his regular serial male characters who become saints after falling in love and that is where she faulted big time!..subtle changes but shown majestically would have been more welcoming than showing him weak and saintly which in reality was not the personality of this larger than life real life character!
up until the big leap jalal's character was still tolerable but once salim entered he was shown completely weak and clueless most of the times with jodha bringing him to senses, as if he would not have survived without her which is not believable and all his reforms were twisted in such a way that again the credit falsely was given to jodha and the end result of all these illogical tracks to show jodha on a pedestal were not convincing and not jiving with history word for word..!
whatever changes akbar bought to the society should have been shown in a more convincing way where the consultants could have been jodha and his 9 gems but he should have been shown wise enough to implement them in a way that looks logical and convincing in keeping with the aura of this larger than life personality!
the end result of it all is that akbar of recent episodes does not look like akbar and i cannot connect this reel character to real character on whose story the serial is based...i must say that akbar of initial episodes was convincing and had a powerful impact on me as a viewer..akbar of jodha akbar the movie was very convincing in showing the subtle changes that jodha bought to his personality as the maker made sure the the persona of akbar is not lost and here i would blame the maker of the serial who just for the sake of trps killed the real akbar's character!..and then came our akbar of mugha-e-azam who was not only powerful but very convincing in showing the larger than life picture and the true qualities of akbar the great who was secular and a just ruler!..and now i am dreading a weepy weak akbar that will be shown in the serial so that the female characters are highlighted..my request to the makers is if they are reading my post not to show akabr weak or a cry baby and again looking clueless until jodha shows the light of knowledge and path of salvation!
..and now jodha's character that was shown in both the movies was subtle yet strong..but the serial jodha as per my POV is dramatic and ott at times and i guess that is what the serials are made of, either they make someone too good or the other too bad but no gray normal human beings!..at the end i must say both rajat and paridhi do look like the characters only if the script was better and in accordance to their real historical characters!
