Jalal moved a little forward and...

tring tring..

His phone broke their beautiful eyelock.

They withdrew their hands. Jalal took out his mobile from his pocket. Irritation & embarrassement both were visible on his face. But as soon as he saw the caller's name... a smile flashed on his lips.

Jalal immediately picked it without realising jodha's presence. This act of his did not go unnoticed by jodha which had made her curious to know about the caller.

CHAPTER 9

Jalal "how are u.. when are u coming... am missing u so much.. i have a lots & lots to tell u.. u know i..."

Suddenly he realised that he was going to say about jodha & she was very much present there.

He bit his tongue & immediately put the phone on hold.

Jodha understood that he was embarrased for his behaviour.

Jodha "so when should we meet for carrying on the project"

Jalal " since it has to be done in my business... so see u in my office working hours.. starting from 10 am to 6 pm. So whenever u pack up here"

Jodha " i will be there at sharp 10... today the pack work will be almost completed"

He shook hand & left with smile adoring his face leaving behind a confused & curious jodha.

He took his phone & put it at unhold mode... & before he could speak the caller bursted the questions on him

Abdul" what happened.. who was there?"

Jalal " 1st answer me.. "

Abdul " i m fine.. & guess what.. m comimg tommorow... mom is fine "

Jalal " abdul its no need to hurry.. if u want u can take some days buddy"

Abdul "i know.. i know.. i cant ignore family for work.. i should take care of mom.. ufff.. jalal i have learned your dialogs line by line.. mom is ABSOLUTELY fine... plz dont start giving lectures again... now tell me who was there with u"

Jalal " miss jodha singh.."

Abdul " u mean.. the software engineer who had recenty shifted from america to india.."

Jalal " yeah.. "

Abdul "& what was u doing with her... i mean i have never seen u bunking office"

Jalal "ehhh... it was a meeting.. of a software launch.. & i had purchased that.."

Abdul "oh.. if i m not wrong she is the chairman of infosis... right"

Jalal " yeah buddy"

Abdul " so... at what cost u have puchased it"

Jalal " mmm... 70 crore"

Abdul "what.. are u serious "

Jalal "yes"

Abdul " & what is so special about it"

Jalal " oh ho.. now will i have to give its full detail on phone..."

Abdul " fine.. i m coming tommorow.. lets see whats so special in it.. that THE JK.. who never waists a single rupee.. has puraced the software in 70 crores"

They talked a bit & hung the phone.

From the confrence...

jalal went to his office. His happiness knew no bounds. He literally wanted to jump & scream out to the world that he was in LOVE. That THE JALAL KHAN is in LOVE.

After a long tiring day jalal reached home at 7. He changed into comfortables & went down for dinner.

His mom & sis were wating for him. Jalal noticed their expressions & it was like he had donw some big crime & they have caught them red handed.

Jalal ( irritated )" what"

Nandini (jalal's sis) " Who is Jodha... Jodha singh"

Now that question drained out all the colour of his face.

He had never expected this to come... not even in his wildest dreams.

Jalal tried to be as normal as he can. He crossed his fingures under the table.

Jalal " She is a software engineer.. recently moved from america to india..."

Nandini " that i also know... what else is there which u have not told us"

Jalal " i have tied up a project with her firm & purchased a software... why did u ask.. i mean u have asked anything about business. I thought u r not interested in this... if u wish.. i can study u business skills.."

Jalal took a bite of his dimner to hide his nervousness.

He tried to put everything on business & change the topic. His expressions now didnt reaveled anything.

But nanadini was HIS sister. How can he underestimate her. He was preparing himself to get shot by another similar question.

Nandini forwarded her mobile & said

" have a look"

Jalal with curiosity took the mobile.. he wanted to know the reason what made her sis ask such a question from him.

What he saw in the mobile was enough to take away his breadth.

There it was... the awsum photos of his & his dreamgirl which was clicked by the journalist at the party when they were shaking hands & talking to each other with beautiful smiles on their lips.

He composed himself & read the comment..

but how can he be calm after that...

"They look so cute with each other"
"made for each other"
"they seem so pasionate.. i guess if there would not have been so many journalist.. they would have kissed right there in the party.."

oh god..
he was shocked..
such comments..
1st two comments made him really happy but the 3rd one didnt go comfortable with him

he thought"what if jodha get to see this.. what if she stopped behaving friendly with me.."

& so many what ifs were going on in his mind.

Inspite of this feeling.. his heart danced in joy. Butterflies were flutering in his stomach. He really wanted to hug that mobile & kiss his jodha's photo.

But he restained himself knowing that it would only cause embarrasement for him.

He made a mental note of the sight from which the photos had been opened.

Jalal " media must have clicked them during the party. U know they dont get any news about me.. so making a fuss of nothing... framing up everything & adding spices to it."

Although he didnt wanted to but he gave the phone back to her.

Nandini "by the way bhai... u both really look very perfect with each other.."

She had a teasing smile on her face.

Jalal's heart was racing at such a speed that it would be measured by a speedometer.. either it will break or it will show 'to be continued'

Jalal somehow managed to give a 'shut up' look to his sis... but she was equally adamant.

Nandini " u know bhai.. the miss universe of last year.. she is not even jodha's shadow.. jodha is so beautiful na.."

Jalal"so.."

Nandini " i want jodha as my bhabhi"

Jalal who had till now managed to be calm.. started couging at the sudden outburst..

Jalal " r u mad"

Nandini " why.. whats the problem.. do u like someone else"

Jalal " i had already told u about this"

Nandini " then propose her na.. no one can say a no to my brother.. he is so handsome u know"

Jalal grinned at her & said

" & what if she ran away after getting to know that u r my sister"

Nandini" what do u mean to say.. i m not a vampire who will eat her up"

it was jalal's turn to laugh.

Jalal "i know that.. but anyone will get scared of u if u will keep on asking these types of question"

Nandini "bhaiii"

Jalal " ok.. say... what happened"

Nandini " plz bhai.. if u dont find a girl... then i would tie u up with one of my friends... but i want u to get married.. or at least go in a relationship"

Jalal " u know na.. i want someone whom i can love "

Nandini " ok.. take ur tine"

His mom was enjoying their convo by being merely an audience.

After the dinner finished... he went up to his room & hurriedly surfed internet to open those photos.

The comments were really giving a soothing effect to his heart. He was adoring each & every pic. He hugged his mobile tightly & kissed on her photo. He went on the bed & hugged his pillow tightly with a hope that someday he will have HIS JODHA in his arms. He was cluching his mobile possesively in his palm. He drifted into a deep slumber dreaming about jodha.
