I hope Akbar learns of what's going on soon. Even Jodha too.

But what after the great slap? Will Akbar take any action against Salim or let him wallow in his self-pity some more?

This post is about the adult Salim. He is the one who is being increasingly disliked.

I am not getting into what if's here. So let's leave out kid Salim and what might have been if CVs had kept him cute. Even if he had been accepted then, the adult Salim has drawn so much flak that any initial acceptance and goodwill would be lost.

Comparison is inevitable in my opinion. When 2 actors are pitted against each other in confrontation then, viewers will compare. Esp when the leads are well accepted and well loved.

Btw, Lavanya, pls refer to Mod Note. Avoid using all Caps while posting.

Aadhya 🤗

Great points! Hope the CVs read your post and get some cues. 😊

I am happy about one thing. Even youngsters like you are very clear about what is acceptable behavior and what is not. The fact that even most youngsters feel Jalal and Jodha are correct and Salim needs to grow up indicates their maturity. 👏

I just hope so bad, that all these efforts we fans put go to good use. It has been 4 months of low TRP's and fan protests, and we still continue to be in the same spot when it comes to screen space being given to Sanar.

Radhikaaa. 🤗
I'm glad to hear that you think we youngsters of the forum are mature. Means a lot coming from you, and I'm glad that my posts give away this 'mature' outlook. Thanks a tonne. :)

But unless the CV's show us a mature Salim and mature scenes, the serial will continue to be at this stand still!!

@Radhika : Thanks 😊 , but i would say CVs failed with SALIM's characterisation BEYOND REPAIR It's not about the prejudiced thought or looks of the actor , even after his introduction trps were normal to some extent i think 😕 ... But His extreme NEGATIVE portraisation on par with Ruqu even after few weeks of his introduction too , was UNTOLERABLE 😕 for the viewers to digest !!!

@Sabdabhala : Well , i accept wat radhika di said here 😊 There was no comparison needed on Actor played by chota salim n the big one now !! As we very well know , it's about his character portraisation in the serial - The Audiences had problem with But i accept ur point on Basic acceptance , that didnt happen at all in case of SA Hate-love(??) story 😆

@Aadhya : Good post 😳 , last line of urs cracked me up 😆 I too had that feeling after writing my thoughts in this thread 😉

Hi Radhika,

I feel that unfortunately the maturation of Salim's character/personality from a child to an adult has been grossly messed up by the Creatives. How can the audience like a prince who is a victim of 'low self-esteem', having NO emotional connect with his parents whatsoever?

The poor contribution from the Creatives in developing the personality of Salim, him being shown as an 'afeem' addict, this addiction combined with a pre-existing emotional baggage since childhood leading to erratic, unacceptable behavior, is not being digested by the audience at all. He is being portrayed as a prince with NO qualities befitting royalty. He has no strength of character at all.

Moreover the audience is constantly comparing the actors playing the roles of Salim and Jalal. This is not working in Salim's favor either. The viewers, ( me included ) are NOT going to accept and like an insolent, argumentative, Salim, especially if he is infuriating his parents, the Shehenshah and MUZ, whom they have grown to love over the past year and a half, since the inception of the serial.

When the leap was taken, and a grown up Salim was introduced, the Creatives could have taken steps to etch out his character, as one who is rebellious, but not disrespectful, one who is burdened with unshared emotional baggage, yet not selfish and immodest.

If Salim's character needs to be liked by the audience, the Creatives need to buck up and show father/mother and son 'connecting' at an emotional level. There is a reason why I have specified father/mother and not Shehenshah and MUZ. Unless the relationship between parents and son improves, we will not see a balanced Salim.
As much as I wish for this to happen, I do not foresee this change at all, because the Creatives are using Salim's 'pathetic' portrayal as the trump card to showcase the turbulent relationship between him and Akbar, to keep the drama factor going.

The Creatives are solely responsible for creating a sense of intense dislike in the minds of the audience towards the character of Salim. All the youngsters, including Salim are new talents and I would like to see them evolve over time and not be too critical about their acting skills.Tapping their potential and revealing it to the viewers, is the directors' job.

Going by the episode, looks like Akbar will announce some serious "punishment" for Salim.
The situation a lot complicated after last episode. Didn't get what the writer is trying to achieve.

BTW, JA's airing time increased by 10 minutes.
This raises many questions in my mind.

salim's character is overly done to make it look melodramatic! the basics of a character are missing...we do not know who he is all we know is that he is thrown in to drift the show from JA to SA and that also with worst execution in play!

i cannot name the other show but you know which other show of salim i am talking about you watch it and it makes you fall in love with the character..as the execution is flawless!

Last night,
Creatives gave us another reason of why Salim is disliked.
His views keep on swinging from one end to another.
Absence of consistency, and yet again he proved it.

This time asking his mother to convert, so that he can be the Shah Shah.
Utter Chaos, don't know what's going on in writer's mind.!
