My only reservation was the increased time given to the Salim Anarkali duo. Have the CV's learnt no lessons? The other sore point was the Yo-Yo like behavior of Ruqaiya.

But on the whole the episode was pretty good.

true cvs not learnt lessons 4rm disaster hence committing same mistake again n that too when show is entered into top ten position again but if one want watch this show wud hv to change the channel while that crap scenes of SA b shown as i do always

very well said

Maddy,
Our differing viewpoints emerge because the way we interpret his personality is different. To you he is a calm, larger than life personality, who behaves like a king at all times.

To me Akbar was a highly emotional person. Here are the evidence for my case-
1 The way he threw Adham Khan to his death in a fit of rage is not the act of a calm, always in control person.
2 The way he repeatedly forgave his relative and his sons for their misdeeds.
3 He abstained from food and drink for many days over the death of people he loved like Birbal.

So what if he shed a few tears. When you come face to face with the death of a loved one, all decorum goes out the door. One is hardly aware of the surrounding, the sense of loss is too great to bear.

I can totally envisage an Akbar who gave up on food and drink over the death of a friend to shed tears over the death of his beloved.

now what is the definition of sin in the ruthless era of 16th century? then killing so many soldiers for winning land is also sinful!!! in this whole track i am still trying to figure out the real meaning of so called imaginary paap pf 16th century! i think the cvz went overboard with the whole issue!

donjas he did have fits of rage and i too have read about them..and also he did not get out of his room when abul fazal died but the way cvz showed was something desperately done to get trps by recycling tracks and nothing else! now will the trps go up by using the ghissa fitta formula..lets see!

well the funny part is while akbar was shown weak crying buckets and running around jodha begum and walking on the path chosen by her like a follower and not like a leader whereas in real we know he was leader in true sense, salim is shown more royal and dignified by emerging as a hero by winning the war!

Hello. :)

One thing that I can agree with you 100% is that the Akbar they show is no where next to GREAT at all. He is shown as not doing much work, hardly going to war, most of the time is hanging around in the harem and spends half his time in the DEK making decisions on stupid issues such as Anarkali. The aura of the GREAT MONARCH Akbar was frankly lost quite a while ago. Sometimes it is better off to maybe forget the fact that this is the same Akbar. Frankly they never did Justice to Akbar, a figure that I loved from 7th standard, the first time I learnt about him in History Class. There has not been a monarch as enigmatic as him. The CV's had so much to work with. They could have shows his efficent war strategies, his awesome harem protection, his super high religious tolerance, his Gujrat campaign but they stuck to showing fiction.

So now we know they prefer NR, so it is time to take this NR with a pinch of salt. BEcause this current track is one of the most positive NR's we have gotten in quite a while. It was believed that Akbar himself helped in carrying brick around during the building of Fathepur Sikri, so him acting as a commoner is not that far off. But the whipping was an absolute NO-NO. That was BAD.

I am a cheesy person at heart, so I adore this love story of contrasts one true love thing, so I watch the serial for Akdha, and Rajat. <3 I have come to appreciate Paridhi too as a really good actress.

But from an emotional aspect, crying does not make a person weak does it? Every person however strong he is will have some point for which he will cry his heart out, that does not make the person WEAK. And in this serial Jodha is that one person Jalal will cry for. There is nothing wrong in that. Infact it even takes strength to cry. Behind every great aura, you never know whats going on, this is just one interpretation of that.
