His sentence was left incomplete as an arrow whizzed past both of them and hit the tree behind. Jalal turned around in the direction from where the arrow was shot, making sure he covered Jodha safely between him and the tree.

"Stay right here," He ordered going in the direction where he saw a little bit movement. The shooter started to run away as he spotted Jalal coming towards him. Jalal felt a bit suspicious. Looking back at Jodha who stood alone near the tree with an assurance he ran behind the henchman drawing out his dagger.

A little bit closer and he threw the dagger aiming at the man's right leg causing him to drop to the ground. By the time he reached near drawing his sword out, the man was already dead. Froth oozed out from his mouth, he had taken a poison.

A trap... Jalal's heart leapt into his mouth as he realized it. "Jodha..." It was all he could think at that moment, he should not have left her alone.
