Jalal sat in his study, examining the lines of worry on his forehead. Every employee of his; whether executive or the house staff was trustworthy. He was not able to believe that someone had tried to steal money right under his nose. It was only by God's grace that he recovered the amount without too much of a hassle. However, he had wasted no time in handing over the errant thief to the police.

Jalal - Hiring her was a big mistake. Next time onwards, I will myself screen everyone we are employing so that this is not repeated

He continued looking through some papers, when his wife Jodha walked in, She had not changed; wearing the same pair of jeans and a t-shirt which she had worn to college that day. Her long hair had been left open, while she tucked a stray curl behind her ear. He was obviously awestruck even then; this woman never failed to make his heart and mind flutter. Even in the simplest of attires, she looked out of this world. She came and stood beside him, with him unable to take his eyes off her. He saw that she was slightly worried.

Jalal - What happened, Jodha?

Jodha - Mr Mohammed, I know I may be wrong but...I don't think Zakira is the thief

His eyes widened in offence, it was as good as salt being rubbed into his wounds. Jodha, on the other hand, had no intention of causing hurt. In fact, she had come there with the purpose of talking to him nicely, rather than just spewing fire.

Jalal - Jodha, the money was found in her room. How could she not be the thief?

Jodha - Because she has been with me for three weeks! And never did I feel that she had untoward intentions of any sort!

Jalal - Oh so you mean to say that I should think she is innocent just based on your assumption about her?

Jodha - That's not what I mean to say...its just that...

Jalal - Enough Jodha! Zakira is the thief here, whether you believe it or not. I don't want to talk about this anymore...

He walked out of the study, while she just stared at his retreating form. This was not enough, something needed to be done.
