Me too Ela. I love animals too. Everyday, I learn something positive from my dogs. They are non judgmental and love unconditionally. German Shepherds are great dogs. I love their majestic look. My neighbor recently bought a Newfoundland and he is adorable. He is only eight weeks old, but is massive in size and a big baby. Reminds me of the days when mine were puppies. They are aging now and I can see signs of arthritis in both of them. Winters don't help either. I do my best by getting them enough exercise.

One of my dog is aging and I am worried...Keep him covered and trying to reduce his weight...He is too fat...Poms are delicate...but GS are even more so as I have heard...When I am with them I forget the world...

Oh really Ela.. Sad to hear this..Yes they indeed are very faithful.

back home I used to have a POM and used to love them but after coming here, I opted not to as when I go to india its hard to find some one to take care...

Ela, German Shepherds are also prone to hip problems like Labs, however after the age of six, if they are given a good joint care supplement, it definitely helps. Constant regular exercise is very essential. I agree with you, just like us humans, dogs' weight needs to be kept in check too.😊 . My older Lab was on the plus side, but we brought his weight down by changing his diet and increasing his exercise.
