I think makers and zee deliberately destroying this show so that it's trp falls hard n all fans forget bout this show n they can quickly shut this show of a Muslim emperor. Thus they are showing nothing of how real Akbar has brought reform n development in this region n how he is still called as a great emperor, they don't want to show a Muslim emperor great. It's a huge conspiracy against JA show n evil has casted it's eye
Very insightful post. That is exactly what is happening. Political pressure is being exerted in the background. Otherwise, all these leaps simply don't make sense. You don't go for leaps when the show is getting good ratings.
For fans of the show( and I have not considered myself one for the past 2 months or so) it is all about timings and bad timings at that. Every show does best when it is in tune with the mood of the nation. Gadar and Veer Zaara are both 'hit' movies. But Gadar did so well because the mood of the nation in the aftermath of the Kargil war needed such a movie. Veer Zaara came at a time when peace overtures between India and Pakistan were being made. It was the right movie in the right time.
Unfortunately, our show is the right show in the wrong time. Now is not the season for Jodha Akbar, it is the season for Shivaji or Maharana Pratap or even Ashoka(if you edit out the Buddhism bit). There is no right or wrong mood here, one type of mood is not better than the other but it is a reality that a movie or TV show maker should understand.
Maybe Jodha Akbar would have done well to come a few years earlier, but that is is all wishful thinking now.
