Hi Maddy di 😊
Yup I remember ur post of " Jalal killed Jodha" 😭 , I literally felt very bad for Jodha and ourselves too , having been reduced to this sorry state and completely had no idea as wat to do next
Yes it was so hurting initially , when i had to watch my favourite show to be reduced to this pathetic state which i never ever dreamt of ... I too am just reading the updates so as to keep track with the storyline , as i loved this show a lot too 😕

Oh how MUCH I loved JodhaAkbar - I liked Jodha's Jalal but I absolutely LOVED Jodha. I used to watch even repeats if I could and spent hours on the forum - thinking and writing about JA.

Oh Maddy di , I am much as on par with you ... I too will never ever miss a single episode , y i will watch all the repeats whenever i m on holiday and my youtube will only be running with jodha akbar scenes 😭😭 But now every thing seems a distant probablity to even see the current episode or better to say i dont have 0.001% interest too left in me 😭

And the fact that i loved both JODHA AND AKBAR , not any single one !!! As it is , i was ardent fan of the soul connect , that was shown in the beginning and storyline made wonders with powerful performances , to make feel every fan proud of watching this serial ...

I must say Jalal has lived upto his word. Cos the Jodha I see now - is a victim, has no self respect or pride left.

Yes di , he has proved to make his word correct ... i wholeheartedly agreed to this point !!! THE JODHA i loved was a woman with Rajvanshi valour , Self esteem and had the guts to point out their mistakes to everyone and face them even if he is SHEHANSHAH of hindustan 👏👏 but now she is lost irrevocably that we will never ever find even that trait in her

I just do not get why NOBODY ELSE felt that guilt! Never even voiced it or accepted their share of the blame.

Jalal just seemed angry to me - how DARE it happen to HIM? I wonder if he felt the guilt? As a Shehenshah for not being able to protect the waris? As a father for not able to protect his twins? As a husband of Jodha at laying ALL the blame on her for the few hours she spent with him - out of her love and care for her injured husband?

This one i must say was the biggest and worsest heartbreak of all the fans , who were being patient even after the horrenduos khyber - atifa track , mirchi war track or even big than the baby sharing track !!!

That one blame of him , that word from him to the love of his life( or so called) who could not understand the love she had for him , Sigh!!! How could this claim to be "EPIC LOVE" story , if it does not have even the basic sense of love ... to accompany ur love in all the happiness and sorrow

When Jalal turned away from her in blame for 3-1/2 years - not even acknowledging her pranams and treating her like dirt?

That was even more worse , and on that day i couldnt even believe that 3 years have passed and still had hopes with the show

This Jodha instead of clearing up her name, to show mirror to those who did not stand by her - just takes and takes the abuse and even says sorry to her abusers!

When only AFTER getting Salim this Jalal tells her he will always stand by her - does Jodha believe him?! Does she think where was he and his love for last 3-1/2 years? Where was he when she needed him most?

I don't recognize this Jodha at all.

This is wat i couldn't digest at all , and hate it to the core even more than ruq crap 🤢

I simply couldnt see such a brave n unique woman of history reduced to doormat in ekta's NR 🤢

A woman who was shown learning to read and write Urdu in her first year of marriage - who could read Humanyun-nama - after 15 years of marriage she can't use the right words it seems!

This is something that i laughed out loud , when read in Wu 😆😆
As i completely baffled again with heights of idiocity the cvs are dishing to us 😡😡

Jodha had her self respect dignity when Jalal was against her - later when she fell in love for briefest periods she had him with her - NOW Jodha neither has her self respect her pride nor she has Jalal.

A strong rich powerful PH run by women - but they just turn their strong powerful lead - a Queen who was an accomplished woman - who had army under her control, who was given the power to issue farmans, who ran trade and did so much more in 16th Century - the 21st Century PH has made her helpless victim.

Every woman deserves to be treated like a queen but here they have turned an actual queen into a doormat.

It's a bitter truth that we cant deny , but could do nothing to change this as a once ardent fans of JA(now RA) ... I always had a extra interest to history since my childhood and that is wat made me to see JKR and now JA , but i am happy that atleast i got to know abt REAL HISTORY ( thanks to abhay) if not his post i would have foolishly believed wat they have shown in this NR to be true !!!

I had read this said by Jaya Bachhan somewhere - that why women are said to fall hopelessly or helplessly in love? It should be hopefully in love.

That was indeed a wonderful quote Maddy di 👏👏 , I believe in this totally that love should make people strong to face everything in their life and not to make them weak in front of everyone who deceive u ... And here i like to say that i equally love JODHA AND AKBAR and not anyone instead , but in ma pov i now feel sad and hurt to have showered so much love and time to only get this back 😕

I think i have blurted too long , so i end this here and Maddy di thanks again for making such a awesome post for our ONCE loved JODHA and dedicating it to her 👏👏👏

Maddy, thanks for making a post dedicating to Jodha..very good attempt.👏👍🏼
though I dont agree many of your points but I applaud u for highlighting the downhill of Jodha which is heart-breaking to see.💔

Maddy, it seems u r stuck in Hussain death track still now.. u every where write the same thing about Jalal...and I dont want to write again n again which I wrote many a times during that track...I am done..I dont want to repeat it everywhere...toh chodho.
I know u were very hurt and the love story ended for u right then...but I dont think it that way..u read my post and comments...not dragging it here...but itna bolungi forget, forgive and move on! it will give u peace trust me!! its a show after all..isski wajah se apne aap ko taqleef mat do..if this thought hurts u and causes u pain then pls pls pls dont think about it over n over again and hurt your heart...just bhool jao aur acchi yaadein apne paas rakho...thik hai?🤗

anyway, yes I miss the old Jodha a lot! the fiery princess the no nonsense girl, the proud and high self-esteemed Jodha is nowhere here in JA...what this Jodha does? does pooja singing oh manmohan every morning, distributes laddoo, sings so ja so ja mere kanhaiya to Salim every night, makes rangoli, smiles, roams around anguri baag, does tel malish to baap-beta and kabhi kabhi a conversation with them, and keeps silence when vamp insults her...to top it all this Jodha who read Humayunnama and had been learning Urdu for najane kitne years cannot speak a simple Urdu phrase properly!!! wah bhai wah! this is what a Mughal Saltanat's Mariam-Uz-Zamani is doing!! what a shame! a woman who had the power of issuing farmans in Shehenshah's absence, a woman who ran her own ship business and had a rank of 12,000 cavalry, a woman who actively participated in every court proceedings is now shown like a doormat or better say a bandi! pathetic! what izzat CVs giving to a legendary lady who had huge influence on the greatest emperor the world has ever seen in his way of becoming great...unnke rooh maf nahi karegi...dono ki...they didnt leave any of the great souls to be a matter of mockery.

u know how many times I tweeted this to Manish? but CVs have no interest in showing MUZ's power...vamps r their favorite..giving wrong titles to them and snatching powers of the leads..probably the only Ekta show where show runs with more screen space of vamps and leads acting dumb in front of her.

no I dont agree its Ruqaiyya-Akbar...coz Jalal is not shown with her at all...it has become SalimKali aur Ruqaiyya! to promote the new lot they r sidelining the leads..yes Jalal is very much there and in fact he has emerged more stronger post leap at the same time Jodha is reduced to a housewife...who will say she is a warrior? a warrior princes will never stop her son the crown prince to learn shamsherbazi/nishanabaazi in fact she personally will teach all those to her son!

khair, rant is done...this post is for our darling Jodha who changed the meaning of female leads in Indian TV by acting strong against all odds.

lots of love.❤️

Maahri jodha the courageous fiery beautiful graceful queen who mark her way in unknown world of mughal era and became its integeral rather most influential women in mughal sultanat

Ok here I am back after dinner

Jodha what I say about her the character had so many layers and so beautiful and paridhi portray it so nicely

she had gone through alot

a place where all loved her praised her to come where actually none care about her but she make place for herself
and n akbar harem most powerful women during akbar rule

I cant forget first time I saw jodha on my screen and bg voice over saying
Rajvanshis ka woh pride her beauty innocence her soul grace all
anyone just see her ones and fell in love how her persona was

jodha a warrior her ability to make others fall for her with time she grow
I cant forget her asking for temple in agra her self respect she loved her motherland
her every breath dedicated to her land and her people

after wedding how she conducted herself maintain het dignity head high strong
her every relationship she had in agra she just fulfill all her responsibilities
Gave her best and nurture every relationship
how a fighter in her faced every situation with her head high without pulling anyone down

love jodha soo much and paridhi did brilliant full justice to character

So beautifully done and crafted character

Wonderful... Heartfelt post Maddy. I felt like I was reading a eulogy speech. Maybe it is, because they have killed Jodha by killing her spirit.

It is so unfair to the real queen to be depicted like this. We are aware of the attempts by zealots to remove her name from history...they were successful to some extent. Entertainment Media (starting from Mughal-e-Azam days) brought her back in our minds and discussions ...but unfortunately, the same media is trying to turn her into someone who wasn't worth remembering.

I want to write so much about the reel Jo who won our hearts. Her beauty, courage, hunars ( here I hv to agree with Jalal...she was one talented woman)and above all...she had a will to survive in the most adverse of situations, the most hostile environments, against the most deadly opponents. I am a Jodha supporter and not ashamed of being called a feminist because of that...because I AM...a busy feminist...I don't really have the time to join the rest for "causes" like the right to kiss in public or the right to wear the clothes of our choice...I pick and choose my battles...therefore, submissively follow the accepted dress codes ( bikini only on a beach/pool and business formals at work) and etiquettes (kissing inside four walls if it makes others uncomfortable) of my surroundings...but I do take time to speak for a woman's right to be treated with respect...a woman's right to be shown respectfully and honestly on a medium that has been proven beyond doubt to influence the mindset of people.

I stopped watching the show too...not worth wasting my precious 22mins on a constipated looking manipulative woman...but my love and respect for another valiant queen with a tender heart does not let me break free from the story. Just for her, I tried to make another attempt to try to understand the reasons behind her drastic transformation in this show...this time, I removed the bias that the CVs prefer Ruk's character over hers and just focused on studying Jodha's behavior. Though badly written and directed, a few things that stand out... there is someone in the team who has seen a victim of spousal abuse up, close and personal. He or she is probably not aware of this, but this is a classic transformation in a lot of women after years of abuse. Their spirit is broken...they blame themselves for things going wrong...they subconsciously try to appease(forgive) the most cruel ones around them...they start believing that being submissive is the safest way to be. I think that this presentation is not deliberate...the intention was drama and the moolah resulting from it...but I do get a nagging feeling that someone's experience and inner demons are shining through the rotten depiction. Don't know much abt the people who influence the storyline of this show...but someone needs help so they can stop the spread of this fear and negativity that good rarely triumphs over evil. Not all gifted women get cowed down like this...we know for sure that the real one finally got the appreciation she deserved.

More later ...Getting ready to go out for lunch...Will certainly follow this thread closely and share more on Jo's characterization when I get a chance.😊

Maddy, thanks for making this thread. We shouldn't sideline our Jo and give all forum screenspace to D1.😉

Excellent writeup Cleo.👏 👏 👏 👏. Waiting to read the rest.

Maddy this is you pouring out your heart and I hope it will give you some closure.

From my perspective and understanding on this issue right from the beginning of the Serial we saw a 'character of reel Jodha' we fell for as a young woman who was loving, daring, sensitive to her 'family' , intelligent, discerning and a trained warrior. We saw a side of her that she loves animals, and would advocate for anyone who was in need of justice irrespective of where they come from. We were also shown that despite this soft side of hers there is a fierce side too. She did not allow anyone to infringe on her rights and dignity and not afraid to pick up the sword and fight.

However after the seperation track and Jodha returned from Amber that Jodha disappeared into thin air after a couple of episodes (for the conveinence of CV team I guess). We are now shown a Jodha as a 'weak woman' who is so much in love with Jalal and puts up with everything and anyone just for his sake. Her intelligence seems to have ceased, she doesn't discern nor think deep anymore of peoples actions and intentions (where is the Jodha who was able to discern that the prison gaurd at that gate in Amer was not part of them and something is fishy???) she now takes decisions impulsively and most is all for Jalal 'in the name of love and husband's honor' as if that is not enough weakness already for some of us. Jodha is shown to be putting up with Rukaiya wimps without standing up for her rights and dignity. With this new Jodha the CV team have failed to balance her character between the soft and fiercy sides for a very long time. We are seeing too much of the soft side which sometimes is also unrealistic. At least with Jalal he is shown having his moments( teda occasional) and moving between his heart side and mind side; one time he is 'cold and cooly high' the next moment he is 'too hot to handle' well why can't we have Jodha also having her moments?

The Writer (s) also initially referred to Jodha as a 'tigress' (so where is their tigress is she lying low for now?) I also want her back to balance the soft side we are see now. As a tigress her characteristics mention below should not fade out in the face of love. We have seen glimpse of her passionate side, devotion, independence, strength, focus, perseverance, courage, will power, sensuality, confidence, silence, determination, feminine energy and acting in a timely manner. However the SILENCE PHASE have lasted too long.

The Writer(s) of this serial have become too shallow in their ideas and thinking narrowing down only on family conflicts, jealousy, power hunger, more than love and positive works or achievements on these historical characters they have chosen to portayal.

To me all the prominent historical characters have being misrepresented one way or the other all in the name of fiction and since we all have favorite character either real or reel in this Serial we all get irritated with most of the contents of what is being shown however it's obvious from the viewership in the country that such drama sells more and even though people complain and say they will not watch well they still do if not Jodha Akbar will be out of the best 5 by now.

Hopefully the writers will hear the outcry of Jodha fans like they did hear for Akbar and in the coming episodes something will happen that will bring out the Jodha we want to see until then peace and love.
