gem the problem with ekta is she stretches her shows too much and sometimes on the spot changes in script are made and she believes in quantity than quality and feeds the trp janta with sbs..the shows that have fixed epis and are pre scripted and pre shot are well thought of and well presented!

Iska matlab saaf hai..ki maine kuch MISS nahi kiya...Phew...

Well I have totally stopped watching the show...for now I get to know the details of it only through your analysis...

I am bored of this...👎🏼

the twin track was handled well..but post the second twin death everything went out of control the cvz could not handle history and sbs together..the mirchi war and akbar being captive was the worst for me and since then the show has been dying a slow death and then every achievement of akbar credited to jodha was too much to digest..only the first 6 months were ok after that all was disconnected and made less sense and not to forget maham's ott dramas every now and then🥱

mansi i have the book with me ,actually the entire series...Indu Sudaresan's Taj Triology ...the first book is twentieth wife which shows noor jehan's birth to rise in power as Salim's favorite...it is history mixed in fiction ...MUZ or jodha is not mentioned much..it is all about ruqaiyya as the power and how noor jehan takes over...the second book is feast of roses...it has noor jehan rising in power ,authority and politics plus her competition with jagat gosani..and the third book is shadow princess which is the story of Jahanara ,Shahjehan's daughter ...

if possible do read the series .very interesting read...and the show on Epic is also about noor jehan rising in power amongst the politics of the sultanate...

it will be limited episodes hence the treatment would be good ...

mine too...and do you know if the follow the book then this is the noor jehan people would want to see...who had taken up an oath in her childhood to make her place in salim's harem as his wife and that too as the most important one and how she went about it ...the persona ,love story ,politcs ,plots are so real and so engaging...

and i liked the promo...it is good and the girl playing noor jehan is pretty ...since it is limited episodes...i am planning to watch it and give the actors a chance...

here is a synopsis of the book for everyone interested

For three and a half centuries, the Taj Mahal has haunted our imaginations. It is a tomb built by a grieving king of the Mughal Empire (1526-1858) in India in memory of his beloved wife.

But it was this woman's aunt, an empress in her own right, who was the most powerful queen of that dynasty. The Twentieth Wife is the story of this Empress Nur Jahan.

The year is 1577. As a winter storm rages in the remote outpost of Qandahar, a baby girl named Mehrunnisa is born in a nomad tent. Her parents, penniless and in exile from their home in Persia, decide to give up the child. They already have three children, and are on their way to the Mughal court in India. Thirty-four years later, this child of the storm comes to Emperor Jahangir's harem as his twentieth wife, and becomes Empress Nur Jahan.

Brought up around the Mughal court, Mehrunnisa sees Jahangir at his first wedding. She decides with the precocity of an eight-year-old, that one day, she will be his wife.

In the years before this becomes an actuality, Mehrunnisa will be married to another man despite her inclinations. She sees her husband slaughtered by the imperial army"court gossips will have it on Jahangir's orders. There are powerful courtiers determined not to let the marriage take place. One of Jahangir's wives, Mehrunnisa's biggest rival in the imperial harem, tries to turn the Emperor against her.

Through all these years, Mehrunnisa and Jahangir's love for each other endures until 1611, when she comes into his harem as his twentieth"and last"wife. At this time he gives her the title of Nur Jahan, by which she is known to posterity.

Although a work of fiction, The Twentieth Wife is rooted in historical fact and detail culled from accounts of seventeenth-century travelers to Emperor Jahangir's court and the memoirs of the Mughal kings.
