The scene that owned me in this episode. ❤️

That secret craving for a spirited, pure daughter, One who will soothe the world-weary Emperor's heart, writes itself all over Akbar's face, whenever he sees his young niece, Mehtaab.

The anger & grief he feels at her disability, flows on his face in the form of those compassionate tears.

The manner in which he gently sidestepped his own sister Bakshi Bano's embarrassed desire to explain the game to her brother in his insistence that it would *only* be his NIECE Mehtaab who would explain the rules of the game to him, the way in which he tells Mehtaab, "Aaj Hum Aapki dukkaan se kucch khareed ne aaee the, par aaj Aapne, HUME khareed liya!"

The importance he showed to Mehtaab was larger than the fact that she was his niece, who he OBVIOUSLY doted on beyond measure, it went beyond her disability- For he treated his dumb & deaf niece, as an actual human being. One who has important things to say & share.

It would've been a rarity for Mehtaab, and she would've not been treated so, if she was not a VIP in Mughal times.

It displayed Akbar's Humanity. DEEP Compassion & his Secularism, more than any policy or law does.

Mehtaab, has truly, gone on Akbar. ❤️

P.S. I loved the way Akbar kept stressing on the word "bhaanji". Like he wanted his sister & niece to know, how very important Mehtaab is to him. 😳

P.P.S I've a feeling that, Mehtaab will be married to Salim..

yeah Divi..after that scene take toh banta tha😳
it touched my heart so much so that coudnt stop my tears to fall.
I wonder the same CVs who give us crass scenes, can also give us class scenes like this!

btw, did u notice when he was all ready to shoot the arrows, he was all serious and then looked at excited Mehtaab and immediately his serious face had smile in it and again looking at the targets, returned to old seriousness?? this is why I call Rajat a master of expressions! he changes expressions within a split of time...so quick and so apt...emotions were perfect...na kam na zyada..⭐️
Jalal made Mehtaab proud and feel she is special than others.❤️

Jalal was always a diamond, once again it is proved...yes, we got another gem as Mehtaab.

He wasn't looking at Mehtaab when he split into that adorable grin, he was looking at that noble lady's small boy who was staring at the Emperor giving a little girl such importance & marvelling at his teer-andaazi. 😳 😆

@Mandy: Thank you. I loved that scene so I had to talk about it. Yes, Rajat is an awesome actor!!!! 😳 👏

I did too when I saw it at the original telecast but when I watched the repeat yesterday & today morning, I saw that it was the little boy. The little boy is looking at him in awe, and that's when he grinned.

Right before that he adorably told Mehtaab, "saamne se hatt jaaei." and grinned.
