Now i am not saying these are 100% correct no one can say that about history since things do change over so many centuries and like you said changes could have been made since jodha was a hindu so there is n no certianity of anything either ways. But still the translations of of the TUZK and memoirs that are avalable today says it was a concubine now i am not saying this is 100% correct but that cant be said about anything .All we can do is consult the sources we have available

Also there is no source that says that salima was murad's mother so showing that will definitely be a big distortion

see when the source u have quoted this from itself is not reliable then no point in stating it...where i got my info from i can say 1000% accuracy is there...also the so called jehangir nama's say that the twins were also not from jodha...so u can very well point out their accuracy and validity...all i am trying to say is that i have come to this conclusion only after getting and reading a lot of research done by various ppl from various sources...i am not quoting only one source or depending on one set of documents or proof...i can give u definitive proof abt this other than the link of the image i have just posted...

i read that. but forum confuses me. some say he is jo's and some say he is from a concubine.
but not our fault, history itself is so much manipulated

Bold let me explain again

there are two sources of one is the memoirs of jahangir which is from david price which is considered not to be very reliable other is the the TUZK by beveridge which is more reliable but both have been published that royal asiatic soceity .However both sources confirm that Murad was a son of a concubine which gives this fact some creditibality

what i also said was no matter what the sources say no one can be certain of the truth since none of us lived in that age all sources may have gone through some distortions.

The TUZK doesn't mentions hassan and hussain but the memoirs of jahangir does and mentions the name of some other lady. Now i atleast haven't come across any source that says Jodha was the mother of hassan nd hussain or murad. Can you please tell me which source, document or text are you referring to for the fact that jodha was the mother of hassan, hussain and murad

And i agree about research my findings are based on 4 texts i have read Ain-I-AKbar,Akbarnama,Memoirs of jahagir s and TUZK.None of them mention who hassan and hussains mother were but the later two confirm that Murad was from a concubine. Please let me know which source or text says things differently?

also if its ok with you can we do this discussion in D&D thread since i dont think historical discussion are allowed in any other thread

In Memoirs of Jahangir translated by price and TUZK translated by beveridge both say it was a concubine

Below is the link to the excerpts from the two sources

Actually ,a woman's fertility is on a higher side when she gives birth. And if she starts having periods immediately after birth of her baby then again the risk is on higher side. And this is all scientific reasons I am giving you which all OBs give immediately after delivery to a particular woman asking her to be careful. So during earlier days ,either women were kept in their parents house during delivery or if they were in their "in-laws" house then husbands were not allowed to sleep in that mother's room for first two to three months.
And again remember there were no such birth control measures those days,So there is high possibility that Jo must have conceived after Salim's birth immediately when Akbar met her after those 40 days.Who is gonna stop Shehenshah from spending night with his wife ?
And Murad was premature baby ,born in 7 the or 8 th month of Jo's pregnancy.

you are right a woman is most fertile after giving birth but that only when she starts ovulating not before that. And that at least takes one month(this is the least) after giving birth that too now with the kind of health care we have.

is there any source that says murad was premature?

If you are ready to believe them then yes .
Go to the posts of history- geek about MUZ's children and there he has mentioned it .
And I have a friend who conceived on the tenth day of her first delivery .

hmm its not about my believing i am just here to know if there are sources which say things differently than what i have read.
I guess this is the post you are talking about

http://mariam-uz-zamani.blogspot.in/2014/09/children-of-akbar-and-mariam-uz-zamani.html

the excerpts given in this post from Akbarnama and other texts say nothing about him being a premature.i am only talking about exceprts for which some source is mentioned like Akbarnama and other book mentioned in the blog.
