There are two things one is Memoirs of Jahangir which was translated by david pric e and published by the Oriental Translation Committee of the Royal Asiatic Society in 1829.This one is not very reliable since its not clear who the real author was .Because of this the royal asiatic soceity decided to publish the trasnlation again this time translation done by Henry beveridge which si called The Tuzuk-i-jahangiriand published in 1909 he has also consulted the translation done by Mr rogers. Both these translations are present in the libaray of Royal asiatic library and they have also published on their public domain
Now i am not saying these are 100% correct no one can say that about history since things do change over so many centuries and like you said changes could have been made since jodha was a hindu so there is n no certianity of anything either ways. But still the translations of of the TUZK and memoirs that are avalable today says it was a concubine now i am not saying this is 100% correct but that cant be said about anything .All we can do is consult the sources we have available
Also there is no source that says that salima was murad's mother so showing that will definitely be a big distortion
