Hi buddy,
I would like to know about the Great War Strategy employed in Chittor by Akbar(not on this thread, though), despite using which it took him 4 months to win the war, and that too when the Fort Doors were opened for Saka by the defenders themselves. I don't see that this war establishes his military prowess if you consider his losses and extent of army and men employed. :)
I posted my view on last thread >> JA - NR at its Worst
And here are my views on Ekta's saintification of that of that blackest spot on Akbar..>> 114724956
I agree with Abhay here. Akbar won the war with great difficulty even though he had more resources and access to supplies. Even in Ekta's NR, we could see him frustrated. More than anything, my problem in accepting that this war showed him as a great war strategist is that so many innocent people were killed after the war was over.
@Irene.I found your comments interesting about Empire ruled with humanity, which i find hard to believe, though in the show it "seems" to be a reality. My comment whose links i have given above mentions something about this point also.. Would like to know your views on it. :)
Well, i will agree that BOTH Jodha and Jalal are shown behaving quite strangely. Jalal gifts "promises" at the drop of hat like he did today with the mother of Anarkali(to be). And Jodha's dialogues to Ruqayya are still making me mad. ;p
About Ruqayya - Nothing more can be said, Radhika has summarized it so aptly in her post.
Irene, actually I just wanted to know what you meant by "lost opportunity" in your remarks. Do you mean Ekta lost the opportunity to show how Akbar ruled with humanity?
Btw, thanks for liking the post, both of you, friends! I always love to read newbie posts - they are fresh and from a new perspective. 😊
