I am not sure how much percentage of audience watching JA all over world is on this forum or any forum on net I guess less than 0.5%.
But the other huge audience out there in homes across the world will never go to any forums or read any books or go to library and research like many in these forums. This crowd has no clue about history other than a movie like Mughal-e-azam, anarkali or jodha Akbar etc
Majority of them would not have watched Akbar the great or Nur Jahan too to know the discrepancies. All they are watching is Akbar in Jodha Akbar and Akbar in Maharana Pratap. Till now viewers would have been confused how Akbar is so good in JA and bad in MP. Atleast now they will feel yes Akbar was a bit bad not saintly as shown in JA till now after chittor war.
Only the jhoru ka ghulam is confusion to them because in JA he is lover boy and jhoru ka ghulam but in MP he never listen to wife. Ruqaiah is one more flash point for viewers as in MP she is very good person in JA she is grey. People will be confused what to believe and what not?
Now with Salim introduction the viewers who sit and watch in homes and not come on forums will they be happy or angry like forum audience? That is to be seen. In history all know Salim was a lover boy not anyone know Akbar was one till JA movie and serial. So do audience want to watch this lover boy and his lovers like anarkali, nur jahan etc or not we can only tell at later time after a few more months.
When you think about Akbar his wars and administration make him famous
With Salim his love stories and rebellion against father make him famous
With Jehangir its nur jahan and his jehangiri justice that makes him famous
With Shah jahan its mumtaz and taj mahal which make him famous
There may be other aspects in their life but people do not really talk about them or remember them as these eclipse all other aspects of their personality
Historicals have long stopped being history only they have all sort of NR and saas-bahu stuff, love affairs that never existed and making hen pecked husbands of powerful emperors and kings. So I shall treat Jodha Akbar or any historical as a modern day imaginative story of CVs with only names like jodha, Akbar, salim etc given to characters for PR purpose to catch eye balls of initial audience and just watch it as long as its tolerable and then move on to other serials
