Jodha Akbar has been the perfect journey of true love, happiness and the triumph of love over all other inner evils. This serial made me believe in true love, in the fact that there is always happiness in the places where you expect it the least. This one and a half years of waiting for 8:00 clock, to see what was new in JA, was the most exhilerating experience ever. However low the serial was, there was always something to look forward to.
"You don't love someone because they're perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they're not."
Imperfections are a way of life. Everyone is imperfect in some way or the other, and embracing anothers imperfections in the end is what is 'true' love or unconditional love rather. There is a fine line between intense hate and true love. They are the 2 sides of a coin rather, you never know when the tables will turn, and that was the best part. There was always this tension and chemistry. The first time Jalal saw Jodha- there was that spark. He did not marry her just because of hate, there was something about her, she was different, fiesty and he liked it.
Jalal and Jodha are so different from one another, they come from different backgrounds and believed in different ideals. What was right for one was wrong for the other, but it was the contrast that got the two together. Jodha got irritated by all that Jalal did, and Jalal did what he was doing just to irriatate her. They thought they hated each other, but somehwhere Jodha liked getting irritated by Jalal, she liked being the rebel and Jalal loved irritating her. Without realizing all the blindfolds of hate were coming off, they realized there was so much more to one another. Jalal had never felt like this and was on a whole new journey of becoming the perfect ruler.
It was like destiny was conspiring against them, making sure they got together. They were pushed together in several situations, be it long road trips or never ending marriage rituals.
"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."
There was love, but no realization. There was a whole new realm to their relationship and both of them were oblivious to the fact that it was love knocking at their door. They could not stop thinking about one another. It hurt when he was with another girl, it hurt when she did not give him attention. They stayed up nights wondering what the other was doing- but refused to call it 'love'. It was definitely the end of 'grina' phase and the start of something new. Doubt acted as an obstacle in their path. Hurt emotions, untold words, frozen thoughts but they got through that too, stronger then ever. The truth can't remain forever hidden, and love was confessed, passion was allowed to take over.
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."
What love did to Akdha was ver different, it made them stronger, made them more courageous. There was nothing that they could not fight for one another. They were ready to face all that came, as long as they had each other. However much situations went against them, they stayed together strong. Sometime's its enough for one misfortunate event to shake up ones thinking process and likes. The death of the twins, was a temporary obstacle that threathned the very existance of their love, but they got through that too.
"The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space."
The AKdha relation is not just physical, but more spiritual. They have that connect- that 'hunar' to know what's happening in the others mind, even when they don't say it. A forehead kiss, or just a simple eyelock is enough for them to remain happy. It's the capability to connect at a mental level that counts, not physical urges.
Akdha will be forever favourite couple. That ship that will never sink. With new progressions in the story that are totally digressing from what makes people like the serial, we nevr know the future of Akdha. The truth be told that I and many of us are very invested in this serial and it's characters. I wanted to vent, but thought I rather remember the beautiful Akdha journey till now then what Salimkali journey they will be showing.
As the focus changes, I am trying to let myself loose from the noose of this serial, and instead of being this hyper excited viewer that I am tone it down for the future track. Howmuch Zee and the PH push this track down our throat saying Akdha will still remain the focus, it's high time I accept the fact that I should just enjoy all that I have seen till now. Akdha-Parijat forever. 😳
They rather show us SA, then spoil Akdha for us.
I am so sorry for this wierd vent/ self soothing post. I am trying to channelize all my depression about this show in a positive manner, and get myself to peace, and the forum is the best place to do it. 😆
STEP 1: Slowly let go of the fact that Akdha might not be shown at their best on Jodha Akbar serial - Check. 🥱
