My reading of the situation in the serial is as follows-

I can see two alternate scenarios, which can have long term affect on this serial.

Scenario 1- Jalal goes to war against the Rajvanshi states. After a period of bloodshed, he has an Ashoka moment where he realizes the futility of it all. He falls into depression, he is estranged from Jodha and he still does not have faith in a God. Over a long period of time, after having atoned for his sins, he gradually wins over Jodha again and his faith in God is re established.

As you can see, this is going to be a long drawn out process and Salim's entry could take a long time because even with leap and all, first Jalal has to win over Jodha again.

Scenario 2- Jalal is on the verge of going on the warpath against the Rajput states, when he gets news that Jodha is pregnant.

Everything changes at that moment. His fury against god evaporates. He realizes that God in his wisdom took with one hand and gave with another. He understands that the night with Jodha is not a sin, but the will of God. Since this child has to survive, voila! Little Salim enters the stage.

The second scenario requires that you forget about history. I am reminded that this serial is not the life story of Akbar, it is a 'natkiya rupantar'. Ekta can exclude whatever incidents of history she does not want to show. She even has the freedom to distort historical events and facts. So, in this 'natkiya rupanter' Chittor and other war campaigns never happen, the timings of Salim's entry also loses contact with history.

At this time, my mind is 50-50 as to which scenario the CV's will show. But the second scenario looks slightly more likely if the rumor of Jodha Akbar being re united by Diwali is true..

Beautiful take Divya. Kalima Mandir scene was one of the beautiful scenes between JJ. It showed how humble and generous Jalal was. And how much he loved Jo (before even realising his love for her) that he couldn't see her in pain and went to great lengths to fulfil her wish.

exactly...some events in life cannot be explained...they r beyond explanations, justifications and all the "tions"...right now Jalal's action is the one.

Historically, HH's death brought JJ more closer, Akbar even took Jodha with him to a war to accompany him and eventually Salim Chishti Dargah visit..he didnt leave her alone in that sad phase.

But, in the show the war is shown for different reason and to pull TRPs JJ's fall out brought in picture.

like u, I too believe Jalal will go to Ajmer after the war and will become very much spiritual...he will repent like anything and will accept nothing happens without the wish of Almighty...both Jodha and Jalal's spiritual journey will begin, the divinity will return which is always between them.

this phase will also pass.

I love the Kali Mandir scene a lot..."Devi Maa ke samne sir rakhne ke liye sir katane ki zaroorat nahi padhti, sir jhukaya bhi jasakta hai" and he walks forward, bows his head before Devi Maa's feet leaving Jodha astonished.
