Oct 14 JA Update | Hussein Poisoned | Ruq Wants Someone Punished

I will not dwell too much on the details today. Just a quick recap because I saw most of the episode in mute. Besides which I do not wish to remember the negativity right now. May be by tomorrow, I might be able to discuss the episode in greater detail. 😊

The episode began where it left yesterday. The warm intimacy between Jodha and Jalal was beautiful. It suffused the atmosphere with tenderness and a deep, protective love that wanted to shield the lovers from the harsh world surrounding them. This was the first time JJ were coming together since Hasan passed away and they were both grieving and trying to heal each other at the same time. The way they wiped each other's tears and the tenderness with which they caressed each other as if to wipe out any last vestiges of hurt and pain from their hearts was bewitching.

Some might feel they should not have spent the night together, leaving Hussein alone with Zeenat and the others. And that they would be filled with guilt always for not being with Hussein that night. But in a way, it was good that they spent the night with each other. They were able to at least partially heal from Hasan's loss.

Jodha wonders at the sensibility of her son for sleeping through the night without waking up his mother. (I also wondered here, if it was possible for a few days old baby to sleep through the night without seeking feed. Or even without being disturbed on account of getting wet, considering there were no diapers.)

The calm, serene scene changes soon into a mournful one. Everyone rushes to Jodha's hojra, hearing her piercing screams early in the morning. Hamida Bano, Gulbadan begum, Salima Begum were silently crying. Jodha was shattered and crying her life out. Bharmal was distressed. (I thought Bharmal had gone back after Ruq's insults but he still appears to be here. Then where is dadisa?

Jalal is in a trance-like state, unable to believe what has happened. His eyes wear a far-away look, full of anguish and anger and shock and unanswered questions.

Only Ruq seems animated enough for all those assembled there. She raves and rants against Jodha, as expected, and I won't go into the details- they are really non-repeatable. 🤢

And as usual, not one single soul comes forth to stop her from insulting Jodha.

It is then that the hakima makes a stunning announcement. That Hussein hadn't died of Jodha's negligence but of being fed poison. It is only when this news trickles into Jalal's mind does he ask Moti who had spent the night with Hussein and immediately starts investigating Zeenat's whereabouts.

Precap:

Jalal asks his men to search for Qasim and Zeenat. Qasim is hiding behind a pillar, thinking to himself that he may be caught anytime soon.

Zeenat is caught and surrounded by KS soldiers. Ruq, holding the corpse of Hussein, tells Zeenat that she believes in "an eye for an eye". I really hope that Ruq doesn't seek the life of Qasim's baby.

What Next:

I cannot see how Ruq is going to be punished in this whole scheme of things. Right now, my mind is unable to think clearly. I leave it to you guys to tell me what you think will happen tomorrow. 😊

Hi Radhika,

I didn't watch the episode until 9 and even after reading maddy's update was debating whether to watch it or not. Then my addiction overcame me and I steeled myself to watch the episode and what a surprise I was in for .It was not at all a bad episode but rather a sensational one as it was good in many ways.I ffed all the zeenat ,quasim and her poisoning as I was not interested in her front but wanted to watch jo,ja and reaction of other agra inmates so I will put my perception only on this do bear with me for a longer post as I want to put forth everything I felt.

SR:

I really liked this sr more than the first one not only because of the seeming ease between both, but it beautifully portrayed the healing of wounded souls through the warmth of love they felt for each other. The tears that glistened their face brought forth the pain and the grief they felt and made the union more of a spiritual one. The other scenes embedded into this sr brought forth the seeming contrast of dark and light that walk hand in hand in day to day life. A wife so often considers her husband as her first son and so the forehead kiss was really touching for me in a way that a mother who now finds a son in peace goes to the other.

Death of hussain

I would say this whole track belong to rajat and pari ,but for me today it was pari who outshined a bit more with her excellent expressions. B e it the seemingly happy mother who found her son asleep, the playful banter that now he has become sensible, the utter delight in just watching her sleeping son ,the moment of numb disbelief as she realizes or the deep agony as her soul has been ripped apart from her she outdid everything.

And coming to ruq what a pitiable state she has brought herself into. The moment off hasan's death hb,gb everyone rushed to console jo over their cousin as all of their natural instinct would be to comfort an ailing mother rather than a disillusioned human. If ruq had shown some grief some might have tried to console her ,but all she now to do was blame jo and not even hoshiyar today find it in to support her. This is the sorry plight of a woman who never realized what love is and i doubt if she ever will? The precap seems to confirm it ,she now wants to kill an innocent baby which has done no harm to her and here I fail to see the difference between zeenat and ruq .Both wanted the same revenge and doesn't seems to care how they achieved it.

Rise of Jallad:

And rajat was once again excellent in his portrayal .How hard it should have been for him to hold that same stance throughout the ranting. Jalal waking up from his sleep was once again pushed into facing the harsh realities of the life. His running to her and then the state of a complete numbness as he watch as a lifeless soul seeing only the agony of jo and all the strands of love that are binding him seem to loosen up and the deep buried wounded animal instinct sees its rise. The moment he knew his children are poisoned there rises the jalad an enigma to be feared.Am i correct here ? I didn't understand his stance completely .I thought it could be what is show but would love your take on this aspect of what you feel jalal is feeling at that time?

All in all it was not all a bad episode and I would recommend everyone to give it a try with minimum hopes.

Excellent analysis Priya . Loved your writeup .

I just caught up with today's episode . It left me with mixed feelings .

Jalal and Jodha's love for each other has reached a different level . Even though the Creatives have royally messed up a beautiful royal love story , the only aspect that they seem to have portrayed properly , is the growth in the unspoken love between Jodha and Jalal . Amen or Ameen to that .

'Only people who are capable of lovingly strongly can also suffer great sorrow, but this same necessity of loving ,serves to counteract their grief and heals them '.

The intimacy that we saw today between Jodha and Jalal , is an integral part of the natural process of healing . It was a beautiful scene enacted perfectly by Rajat and Paridhi .

Coming to Rukaiya's reaction . I am sometimes misled into believing that Rukaiya has really developed motherly feelings towards baby Hussein . I then have to knock myself on the head and jog my memory to remember the 'real' reason behind her asking for one of the twins .

Did you notice Jalal's expression when she repeatedly asked Jodha where she was instead of staying beside Hussein and taking care of him ? Not only was she lashing out at the biological mother , she did not spare Jalal either . So intense is her anger , that she is ready to adopt 'the tit for tat' method with Zeenat by trying to harm her baby in revenge . I can understand Rukaiya's anger at being deceived by Zeenat and the pain of losing Hussein , but her intentions behind depriving Jodha off Hussein are not less grievous than Zeenat's offense either .

I love the 'jallad' Jalal . This transformation in him is essential because it will help him take quick action against the offenders , especially Rukaiya . Only if he turns into a 'jallad' again , can his spiritual transformation really take place .

I maintain my view that there will be NO misunderstanding between Jodha and Jalal . They have reached a stage in their lives where each one understands the other, without speaking any words . A mother has lost her second child also , the father will stand by her and share her sorrow , he will not make her feel guilty about leaving baby Hussein in the care of Zeenat , Moti and Zakira and spending 'quality' time with him .

I do not wish to speculate about how the plot will unfold or what Rukaiya's punishment will be . There is no point . The Creatives have their own weird story telling methods . I only wish to see growth in the relationship between Jodha and Jalal .

There is a Bangla proverb that when masi(another any lady) shows much affection than real mother its called Crocodile tears(in bengali: ma er thaikai jakhon masi er darod basi hoyi takhon takai bola maya kanna) n Crocodile tears always ppl see in crooked eyes! Paar ek agra pagal khana jaha pai ruq's crocodile is always remained out of everyone's crooked eyes! She screemed, screeched, sordidly accussed on real mother of HH that she murdered ruq's son( world worst nasty joke) but nobody had gut to raise finger on her that one n only for her cheap insistance zeenat was appointed for H's dai ma so today this terrible situation had been occurred. I perplex to know abt precap that yet ruq is showing peacefully such arrogance, audacity. Without any kind of evidence of her any hidden blunder ruq should b accussed for HH's demise. If yet Jalal doesn't shut ruq's exaggeration audacity, doesn't raise finger on ruq's stubborness for keeping zeenat then it wl b his failure as husband of jo not able giving justice to jodha punishing to that lady who barbarously has made false conviction against jo, as father of HH not able to punish every person who is directly behind their demise.
Nice post Radhika. At present i m worried abt JJ's upcoming relationship.

@bold: I too agree with u, as of now I do not see any MU at all. Why do I feel JO when she hears Jalal stating that he will not believe in God anymore will become stronger and be there for jalal..

A very well written post by you ( as usual) Radhika . I have become addicted to your , Maddy , Abhay and Mansi's write-ups . I love your style of writing .

I actually liked today's episode .
It was a mix of emotions : romance , tragedy , guilt , sorrow , anger , revenge all mixed into one .
Started with a loving Jalal and ended with a shocked , stunned and angry one .

The scene between Jodha and Jalal was so beautiful and tender . It was the most natural aspect in their progression towards healing from the grief of losing their baby , a symbol of their togetherness. This is why we saw them wiping away each other tears . There is no way that Jalal will ever make Jodha feel guilty for being concerned about his well-being and spending intimate moments with him.

Rukaiya was continuing with her obnoxious behavior . I almost misled myself into believing that she is really upset about Hussein's death . Anyone who saw her yelling at Jalal and the already distraught Jodha would think the same too . All her hopes of becoming MUZ have vanished into thin air . Starting tomorrow, we may see her attacking Jodha some more and landing herself into trouble .

I am glad that Jalal will be shown as a 'jallad' again . This change is necessary for him to think with his 'head' while meting punishment to both Zeenat/Mirza and to 'bachapan-e-fiend' Rukaiyya .

He needs to become heartless for the spiritual change to actually happen to both Jodha and him . Both are angry with God for punishing them by taking their babies away . They both will come out of this grief by sharing it . Their love will help them in overcoming the shock , trauma and pain and accepting the reality of their loss . This acceptance will help them in remaking their life and emerging stronger than ever . Thereby starts their spiritual journey together .

As far as the punishment for Rukaiya is concerned ,( even though all of us would love to see her being sent to Kabul in order to keep Mahachuchak company ) , Jalal cannot punish her severely , because he has to maintain royal dignity , after she is his first mughal queen . He may strip her off all her existing titles and power and she will be reduced to a nobody in the mahal . He may also stop communicating with her . Besides this I have no major hopes about her punishment . The rest depends upon the Creatives .

well said Charu..

@bold: me too along with yours and Priyas.

I am breaking my head thinking about what Ruks would have done so that she is punished by Jalal. Something has to be there but so far I could not find any clues at all..😭😭

May be screeching tomorrow more, her MUZ intention comes out. If not has she swapped the babies. Or did she have a plan and this is why JO was taken outside Agra to see Hakima..

Hi all,

I Did not watch the episode. But after reading you all, and after seeing some pics, it seems that the episode was a mixed bag. The first half was good and second one was dedicated to the LEAD of this show -> Ruqayya Begum. 😆

As per Tahni's Live Update, JJ came quite close today. That scene was well enacted by PS and RT. BTW, i did not hear that "anyone" was uncomfortable or there was any BD used, despite reading that this was MORE passionate then the first one. LOL .

Though, this is good for PariJat fans, but I feel that, showing this scene was not required at the moment. I mean, the timing was not so good. One of the child has died, and at this moment showing this sequence was out of place.

Don't draw Conclusions. Watch the Present.
Why did they{CV's} become so much meherbaan on us today.?. I think that, i should not draw any conclusions at the moment. JA CV's have defied all logics many times. Hence, i won't say that this is the prequel to the separation track or Amer track. It may be possible that CV's are planning to show the baby girl (born after Twins to Jodha, i mentioned the details in my Kids Post, link of the post is below in my signature, i mentioned one son also in that list), but for that we still have time. Pata nahi which way CV's will turn to.

Expected JJ Equation

Jo and Ja came closer after this twins demise incident. I wrote in my Long Post on New Promo(those who have read it), that this Jalal will be as Ruthless and heartless while dealing with the territorial expansion of Empire BUT his equations with Jodha would not change. Though the CV's are capable of dishing up anything. Hence, let's see what happens.

About Ruqayya,

I am hopeful. She has done something, i feel, i am expecting flashbacks for many deeds. The manner in which Ruqayya was shown dominant in this track is something which is ABNORMAL. This was DONE deliberately to make her fall a cherry on cake.
She has to be shown her position. Lets wait and watch. CV's can NOT change the REALITY even if they LOVE her so much. ;p

Future

For me, No separation should happen. JJ are expected to go on wars together. Next track in pipeline, as per timeline, is flight of Sharif-ud-din and his consequent war with Jalal, and i am expecting Sujamal also.
Before that(if CV's are meherbaan), then we are also expected to see Jalal getting hurt by an arrow, this scene was shown in the Jodha Akbar movie. TLC expected. ;p

About so many PMs, which you sent, i am answering here.>
I do Not see any Leap.LOL.
How on Earth is a Long Leap possible NOW.?. ROFL.
No leap of 15 years and that too in October.😕
How can we think that we will get Salim in October itself.?. LOL.

We have many tracks and all that will take time..So chillax and watch the PRESENT.
I mentioned so many tracks(at least 30 points) in Maddy's Old Sunday thread.. The New Promo is on similar lines.

I was fed up of this saintly Jalal, and wanted to see the one, as shown in the Promo.

I want the CV's to show him with a balanced persona, not ONLY a Dharmatma, because that Dharmatma image can NOT explain his Empire Expansion, as i said in my Page-1 post..!!!.
