Last month also I watched movie in my regional language abt akbar wer only jodha was shown as his wife and it was of 1960 movie I guess old movie... Even sikri fort says that how much he loved jo... Ruk is first wife and so she was listed as Khaas begum or else she wud not even b in that list... In our serial only ruk was given this mcih importance... In akbar the great serial ruk was least shown and jo was shown as his love and Salima as his good advisor ... Why sikri even before Salim birth akbar constructed fort for her as she is the beloved for akbar... I feel strange that ekta gave so much importance to rukayya in this serial wer as even history doesn't give that much importance to her...

Exactly bhavya ...EK has distorted history by giving so much importance to Ruku...In reality Ruku never ran harem ...It was Salima...

All I can say from history is this
Rajputh princess who converted to islam after marriage followed their religion inside agra fort. Muz was the first rajputh princess to convert to islam after her marriage to Akbar.
Officially all the Mughal wives were muslims not hindus
The hindu temples, or tulsi place etc were built by Akbar and jehangir for their wives inside the forts so that their wives follow their religion and festivals inside fort.
Muz never put any conditions like building hindu temple in her hojra, not converting etc as per history. These are all imagination of movie makers.
I am not against muz or any other rajputh princess indeed I feel sorry for them to have bartered in marriage to an invader without their will because their fathers and brothers could not fight.
Whatever I have written is real history not only what I have read from books but what I have asked from professors etc who have done PHDs in history field. I know in order to sell movies/serials people write all dream stories and sell it as truth. But if you want to know real history you have to read books.
Fatekpur sikri also has buildings built in Christian architecture. Akbar basically followed islam, hindu, jain and Christian all religions at a time. Akbar had Christian and buddist wife too. So he did not follow hindu religion because he loved muz. He slowly realized that all religions are same and one only and wanted to unite them. His awakening took place after he had an epliyptic attack once and after that near death experience he started taking interest in al religions.
Akbar allowed his rajputh wives to follow their religion inside fort because of political reasons so rajpuths have a good image of him initially.

No she did not convert to Islam it was her love (I guess) for Akbar that she chose to be buried.

Even jehangir did not remove her Empress(Malika e Aliya) position till death even under nur jahan influence she is so much powerful. If someone could give competition to nur jahan in terms of power it was only her.

Nurjahan didn't compete 'cause she was maid-in-waiting for Ruqs ...and just to have Jehangir under her control ( and away from his rajvanshi relatives) she got nurjahan married to him when his roving eyes found her...she deliberately got nurjahan close to jehangir... She was a master conspirator...

Burial does not mean anything

One of my aunt loved her husband like hell but she buried with her parents in village as only daughter only child of her parents. I know of many such cases where kids want to be buried with parents. My uncle buried with his mother very far off city who no one visits not with wife or kids because his mother all alone in that place so. He love his wife more than his life but he always regret his mom all alone far off place. He is not only childbut his mom died when he is small 10 years and he missed mom all life. He could not gomany times to grave so decided after death he want to be with his mom. That did not mean he lovehis wife less.

I do not know why ruqaiah do that but as only child or if parents die young children feel guiltymay be. How real ruqaiah waswe cannot guess because no one has written in any book? So whether she was good or bad we can only guess not truth? its mystery always

If she is really good then why did she scnached khurram from jodha bai, why didn't she allow her to meet to her own son.
Rukaiya narrowminded thinking can be test by shahjahah cruelness.
I don't know why u support rukaiya. She is the root of hatred among hindu and muslims abt ram mandir temple.
