I LOVE JodhaAkbar - 25 :))

Have a lazy Sunday everybody. 😃

CVs always do this, when we start feeling excited about the way things are going in JA, they just bang us back to earth! The way the episodes last week were till Thursday's, it seemed like we had the old first 80-90 episodes-wala JA back.😃 Was hoping for an even better Friday episode - fitting last episode homage to CVs darling MA. What we got instead was so over the top glorification of MA it fell flat.

MA's dialogues of "hum bhi Mahamanga hai, kisi ka udhar blah blah" - will go as one of the worst ones of JA for me - right there with the horrible tent scene and Jalal mouthing to Atifa ab aap se hi humara vajood hai. Ashwini was super as MA and she deserved a better last episode, in their excess adoration of MA the CVs just ruined it instead.

The precap is HORRIBLE AND it is a 5-6 months leap!

Does anybody else feel this?

Jodha and Jalal practically repeat 2 costumes during the week - 3-4 episodes have Jodha in that horrible inexpensive pink and olive green costumes and Jalal in orange with that shining gaudy off-white overcoat or the black jama. They are NOT spending on costumes for their lead pair, when the serial has been in 3 for more than a year and Top 1-2 last month or so. Jodha's costumes seem like picked up from some bargain sale counter which none of us would ever even try on in our lowest mood with 80% sale sign! That horrible big pearly chunky necklace she wears in 4 out of 5 episodes! Yuck!!!

The make-up has been BAD, not just Jodha's even Jalal it seems like, is lathered with pancake and powder. Nobody seems to be bothered how they are making Jodha look - not much attention is paid to her costumes, her make-up, her hair - they have stopped caring about leads looks.

The hurry with which they took the leap direct to delivery. Atifa track ended jumped to Adga-Adham ends - jumped to Ruk track - jumped to BB track - jumped to MA end and leap directly to Jodha's delivery. Just MAD RUSH. We did not get a single happy normal episode where anybody was shown taking care of Jodha. Jalal did nothing for his pregnant wife, his love and much awaited waris than mouthing please take care. WHY THE MAD RUSH???

What about Mehtab BB and SD's baby?

Will Jalal EVER know the truth about SD's eye on Jodha?

Will Ruk EVER be punished?

Will Ruk's fake pregnancy all that she did come out in front of Jalal?

Will Ruk ever learn about MA's hand in her MC?

What happened to MahaC & her brand new hubby? Will Jalal and MH ever learn of this?

Where is MH?

Where is Tansen?

What happened to Nigar and CB?

What happened to Abul Mali?

CVs NEVER even let Jalal learn the truth about the Dhakka paigam 😡 Atleast WE deserved to see he learn that!!!

What they did with Atifa?

Will Aziz Koka's marriage ever take place?

What about Fattepur Sikri? Which Jalal wanted to build for Jodha?

Will JodhaJalal visit Sikri and Ajmer Sharif?

What about Sujamal?

We all read how this is Ekta's dream, her vision, how she had people doing research for 2+ years on Akbar. Where is that research? Why are we constantly getting rumors of SalimAnarkali? What happened to the painstaking research which should NOT lead to wiping out 20 years of JodhaAkbar's lives?!

Why can't a big PH with decades of standing and flush with funds hire better writers? Who can think BEYOND LEAP! If this is Ekta's dream - why does it seem like she has given up on it? Why the shoddy costumes for leads, why the could not care less about make-up and jewelry for leads, why the mad rush? The sets need painting!

Why they cannot show few episodes of normal life before jumping to next track?

Viewers are crazy about Jodha and Jalal even after more than 14-15 months of watching them together - we ONLY want to watch them and do not want SalimAnarkali.

I wish JA was on some other channel than zee. Other channels care about their top serial zee simply does not. Their mundane soaps seem more important to them, are always promoted and we get to see innumerable promos for them. JA is always neglected by Zee.

I wish Ekta bothers to scotch the rumors about the leap in JA. We have got the 5-6 months leap and if this is cos they want to wrap the twins sad track, like Donjas said then I hope this is the only reason. We do not want to miss the epic magical love story of JodhaAkbar and jump to Salim's birth. I do not want SalimAnarkali.

I really love Paridhi and Rajat - to me THEY are JodhaAkbar. Love the support cast cos they all belong - they are not brought to fill up episodes, they all lived fascinating lives.

I really wish Ekta cares about her dream and does not let the "soap and leap" filled brains of her CVs convince her otherwise. We love JodhaAkbar and want to watch their epic human love story without ANY more leaps. The signs indicate differently still we can hope. Otherwise is there any scarcity of channels and serials? Some who actually care about their top serials!

Ekta may be the queen but still ONLY TRPs RULE!!!!! 😆😆😆

Like I pointed out we can have 3 marriage tracks in JA - Aziz Koka, Maan Singh and Mirza Hakim!!! Don't they always bring TRPs! So WE do not want any leap and NO SA.

I know some are pointing towards this romance factor.But as many of our friends have told that this story was not for push and pull and pinning to the wall romance.For that, two big PH houses in Bollywood make dozens of such stories.

If she wanted to show this kind of romance then why Jodha Akbar ? She could have taken any fictional Raja Rani and made this.

This is not a just an ordinary love story but the journey of two people from two different worlds coming together and forming another world.

Now these two people can't say like other lovers" Hum dono ki eek chotisi apni hi aalag duniya jisme koi nahi hain" They can't afford to say such things as he is no majnu ,ranjha ,Romeo etc.He is King of Hindustan .He is father of his aawam .He can't forget them and she won't even ask that.

These lovers have crores of people in their world.This story is about the man who was ahead of his times,who was a great visionary.She was not just an ordinary queen who just did the work of giving heir but she was equal partner of his amazing journey.She herself was a part of administration,she looked after trade,she build mosques .For these exemplary people the story shouldn't be the same ordinary one.

The one example of Jo not being ordinary was ,when she heard of those curses ,she didn't go for chestbeating and crying or accusing her fate but she decided to fight .Who in 16th century would have done this.

We have numerous examples of Akbar not being an ordinary man.

Then when god have made them extraordinary ,who are we to expect such ordinary things from them.

PS :-

If tomorrow some person wants to make love story on Radha Krishna ,can we expect passion in that as we know there was no physical thing in this story but as it was more platonic.

Let's come to this century ,if somebody wants to make story on some couples like the couple who founded one of the biggest software company of India.Everybody knows this story how they started .Shall we expect push and pull romance or shall we see how,a man with rs 10000 from his wife's savings and her support not only made one big MNC giant but has been doing million dollars charity work too.

This is an epic love story for a reason, so the road side Laila majnu stuff will simply be demeaning. And romance is not just physical closeness, it is being someone's strength and weakness at the same time. But I do understand why there is hue and cry about the romance part. I was watching some old episodes and one line just stood out:

"Yeh woh kahani hai Jo shamsheer ke dhaar pe likhi gayi, aur payal ki jhankaar ko bhi na bhooli" ...

To me this story is about love admist the difficult and trying times of war, dirty politics and hatred. As of now , the story is neither focusing on political aspects and neither too much time is devoted to Jo JA. The screen time that they do share together needs to be increased and they both need to be give quality dialogues. This Ruks asking for baby track has been about Ruks, her dialogs...her self talk...her plotting... What about JA Jo! They are the leads aren't they? Why is no focus given on them...I find Ruks dialog better than Jo, they are crisp and clear ... Jos dialog are very arbid. We have had three quality scenes of Jalal and Ruk on this issue, but 2 very one sided Jo JA scenes - aren't they the parents? I can live with lack of physical proximity, as long as Jo JA are in the same frame, and the setting, direction, and dialogs are intense and meaningful - Which, as of now is are big big let down.

Lovely view and narration. Thank you Rashmi dear for this piece of work. I was tired of telling Jodha & Jalal can be like this and their love will be viewed from their dedication, care and most of all of sophistication they show towards each other. Their is no need to keep chanting I love you whenever they come across, that looks gross, there was no need to hug and convey that I care for you, that has to be evident from their work. This was very much their in their work.

Jalal loves Jodha, so he know that giving one of her child to Ruqu will hurt her, so he fought with Ruqu and even was ready to bear the insult of "going back on his word" which was the ultimate disgrace for any king. He cared for Jodha, and that was the mere reason, even after she was ready to part with her child, he went and ensured that Ruqu atleast will take good care of Jodha's child. so that Jodha will not blame herself in future for partying with her child. he knew very well that Jodha will never express her disappointment with him. so he had to act by reading her eys and the lines on her forehead. That is the pure love and that is why we love this Jalal.

Jodha loves Jalal, so even though he was ready to face the disgrace, she wanted to remove that black mark from his name which would have gone as a record in history. She only wanted his name to be remembered for his greatness and not for cowardly behavior. She also knew that deep down, Jalal has harboured some feelings for Ruqu, who is his first wife and also the ill-fated girl who will never become a mother on her own, if she doesn't help her now, but his love for Jodha had stopped him from asking her to spare a child for Ruqu. If that was not the case (love for Jodha), he would never have suggested Ruqu that he will get her a different child, and will give his name to that. Even then, he would have snatched a child from its mother (unless he planned on some orphan child), so his theory of not separating mother and child was just a hold to stop Ruqu from pesturing for Jodha's child. Hence she decided to give one of her child to Ruqu so that Jalal will live a peaceful life. If not, he would not have been able to stay peacefully and concentrate on his day to day activity as a king. an hungry tigress and an unsatisfied female are always danger like keeping the burning coal in the pullo, which will eventually burn the entire saree and if not sense fast may harm the person as well. So it was not just to satisfy Ruqu's anxiety but also to safe guard the Sultanate, Jodha had decided to part with her baby. If this will not show her love for Jalal, then nothing else can show (even a hot SR scene)

I also feel that JJ deserved an apology from MA. They did the right thing...they were kind and let her die with dignity. On the other hand, MA stayed true to her character till the end. I refuse to believe her claims that she committed all those crimes out of her love for Adham. . Not even on her deathbed, did she have the courage or the dignity to accept the truth. She did what she did for herself...her ambitions...her greed for power. By putting the blame on Adham and his jealousy ...or on her dedication for her job as Jalal's dai, she revealed another aspect of her complex personality. She loved herself more than she ever loved Adham...or Jalal. She was a bad influence on both of them. Luckily, Jalal had buffers like Atagah in his life. Adham did not have that advantage . So he turned out to be a product of a very poor upbringing by a selfish, cunning, overly ambitious and psychopathic woman. A lot of crimes she committed had nothing to do with Adham's welfare ( not Jalal's either)...but she chose not to accept that. Rather justified her sins as acts of a mother who was trying to balance her love for her two sons...What crap!!!!! Only a sick mind could use the excuse of the purest form of love, a mothers love for her child, to justify murders, backstabbing, conspiracy and treason.

So why would she apologize to Jalal? When her own mind selfishly believes that the reasons she hurt Jalal were " justifiable". Jalal took her away from Adham, so she tried to be fair and tried to get something ( read...everything) in return for Adham. People who feel sorry for their acts have to have some amount of humane streak in them...MA lacks that.

A part of me is happy that she didn't apologize or reveal her crimes. It would have redeemed her to some extent. Shown her to be a magnanimous person that she wasnt. She was a woman unworthy of Jalal's love and respect and should be remembered as that. I am not saying that she didn't love Jalal...but not more than she loved her position in the Mughal empire. She was extremely proud of being Shehensha's Badi Ammi...even at the time of her death, she didn't get over it. She didn't want to be remembered as Jalal's dai who was punished for backstabbing him...but as a "mother" who was a part of Shehensha's heart. She didn't ask for Adham's shamsheer, painting or a sovienier...She didn't warn Jalal about confirmed backstabbers like Ruk and SD. Instead, the death wish of her dying, delirious yet still selfish mind was the title of Badi Ammi and the respect/perks that came with it.

A perfect dance performance needs perfect blend of music, sur. Raag and taal with perfect expression, mudra and adawu( step) and in this most is the perfect synchronisation between taal and Adawu if even single Adawu doesn't match with The Taal then The whole dance gets spoiled... Similarly in a husband wife relationship love, trust. Faith and understanding are those quality... And understanding is that match of taal and Adawu if there is no understanding between a couple then their relationship does not have a smooth run. Jalal and Jodha has touched that perfect synchronisation of understanding and this is going to take their realtionship in that heaven of eternal bliss and happiness... Where they will together dance in both happy as well as sad tune as provided by their Guru i.e. God...

I loved the various shades of Jo yesterday and pari was fabulous...For me it's one of the best episodes of her..

One of the reason i fell in love with ja serial is the depth of the characters and their complexity.. And maham is one among the best..we can write a thesis on her character and would still left to ponder what she really is...and for this I salute Ashwiniji who has lived and breathed mahamanga's character and had immortalised her in our minds.. For me Maham is always a master manipulator ...

I believe there is somewhere in the corner of her mind there is a regret that she was never a true mom to either Adham or Jalal and being a manipulator she is she had twisted everything out even to herself ...

But yesterdays episode was all about Jo .

1.The Elegant and Classy Jo a reminesence of older days who always put ruq on her place

2.The compassionate Jo which is her greatest strength and a trademark of her character .she emanates kindness...the way she listened and comforted the laments of an old and a frail lady was heart warming..

How ironic is the same maham who hated Jo forbringing out the human in the shenshah is now wanting the human(son)

To come to him not the shenshah because deep down she know the shenshah will never forgive the wazir aliya ..but the son in him will always come to the mom ...

3.Jalal's begum Jo

she is my personal favorite and her interaction with Jalal was the best of the scenes yesterday...whatever maham is Jalal truly loved her and evry child's first world revolves only around their moms they are the source of security,comfort and for Jalal it has always been maham..

That's y her betrayal more than any one else had deeply hurt him and the wound runs very deep .. You couldn't just put medicine straight way but have to cut it a little bit ,to take all the poison out and then only healing can start.. It was fabulously done by Jo ..she has to remain strong yet feeling all the pain which was beautifully portrayed...

All in all this whole maham track has been handled with lot of sensitivity and i wish cvs carry up this good work

TThis pink costume - if I close my eyes and imagine PS this is the ONLY dress I think of her in!!!
