Hello,
What can I say. I am still trying to know what disappointment feels like. And it doesn't feel nice. The game of TRP-chasing is cruel, and, oftentimes slippery one. So the first time TRPs hit no.1, it was for a Jalaal crying his heart out, so CV had him cry after every track, just to see if they could hit that elusive gold. So yeah, he cried when he lost his wife, his sister, his mother, his rubber duck, you get the picture. Then it hit jackpot when he went all smooth operator-like, and caught a few bad guys, the journey to this point was laid was insane stuff, which made even the most case-hardened souls like yours truly question their sanity for following it religiously. And next week was a bonus for us as well as the makers, for it showed, a leaf out of the book of Akbar's life, killing of his beloved father figure Atgah Khan, by his foster brother Adham Khan no less, this may have been a moral quagmire, but it was dealt with in the fairest way, Jalaal could, though it was very brutal. Of course what happened after, just ruined it for me, but, we can't do anything about it can we?Now, CVs thought they had a formula, a crying Jalaal, a smart and brave Jalaal, and yes some History not NR. So, here was an event from history, death of Maham Anga, a very important event of Akbar's life indeed, with plenty of scope for those tears of Jalaal, which our man does very efficiently. It's like opening floodgates literally, and somehow vaguely disquieting. So yes, this could have been, a great episode as well, but, did it live up to it? A big resounding No. Sometimes, simplicity and silences speak volumes dear makers, and trust Rajat and Ashwini could have swung it that way as well. And yes we will miss you dearly Ashwini! 👏Reaction,So are we done?I apologize for such a straight-laced post, though the episode had plenty to be laughed at, but, some days are just...
