Normally, yes Zee too has a say - but I dont think Zee maybe able to do much in this case - EK has played her cards very well with both her shows getting to be the top 2 shows and giving Zee a huge viewership - and this has put EK in the driver's seat and she will take the call of when to bring the leap in - and with auditions happening, it will be soon.

Khushi I dont know if leap is happening or not...I had started watching JA for Jallu and Jo and I am a very disappointed viewer now and dont even know why I am disappointed...Just watching JA more out of habit ...

The pace of the show is very fast and this makes me wonder if leap is just round the corner? Are the auditions happening?

Exactly Ela...we are sailing in the same boat...the disappointment is bec of various reasons, prominent amongst them being,

1)cvs not writing proper Akdha scenes,

2) either/both leads' obvious discomfort during romantic scenes...hence the 2 feet apart hugs,

3) too much prominence being given to negativity, etc...

Hence, it doesn't seem worth our time to watch the show so religiously, n hence we feel disappointed...😕

No clue Ela, I also got to know from the FB page of the actor who did young Akbar in MP that he had auditioned very recently for Salim - which does mean that auditions for various upcoming roles is happening.

Also Ela, I had mentioned this on your threads and other threads about the Atifa track being the best kept secret - and only very very few on the cast and crew of JA knew of the track - well let me again say this - such a leap for SA would be an even more tightly kept secret and would be just presented to the audience - the best way for us as an audience is to gauge what is coming by 'Seeing' what is happening onscreen in terms of story instead of being in continuous denial - and what I see tells me that the leap is definitely happening and is around the corner - if it happens now, good and if it happens later, also good - as long as I do get a good story instead of the sorry state of affairs the show currently is, I am fine.

Fantastic post, going by EK's track record, I think Ronit Roy will be cast as old Akbar.

How about a double role by RT as Akbar and Salim both?

Double roles will be tricky for a daily...n expensive too...as special effects will be needed in single frame shots...
