I love the title of your post, it sums up the kashmakash of Jalal, the pain the sorrow of putting his family, his love, his praja through this. Jalal proved, that when it comes to safeguarding his sultanate and his people, he will not let his personal feelings come in the way. With great power comes great responsibility and greater turmoils, I feel bad for Jalal...
And jodha -I loooveeed her when she said enough of crying and decided to rise to her duties as a mother to be, this feeling was what I wanted to see in her during the KZ rescue mission she undertook. She was so dignified today, they way she silently supported Ruk, it was really moving...by merely holding her hand Jo asked her to hold on and be strong. When Ruk said to Jo " you really are beautiful " - she dint just mean externally , Ruk realised the immensely beautiful soul Jo had.At first , I dint understand reasons of Jo wanting to leave, then I realised Jo took this decision as a mother , she knew of the political unrest that would follow and she wanted to keep her children safe. And although I can understand the anger towards Jalal for putting Jo through all the anguish with this plan of his - but I will side with Jalal on this one. He knows jodha will never let him endanger himself, he knows Jo will jump in fire for him and be his shield, so the only option he was left with was to keep Jo out of loop. And when it comes to matter of Jo trusting Jalal - I don't think the question or the premise is even valid. Jalal himself had professed many times that he is no longer in love with Jo, and to hear the word talaq from him would have numbed Jo to look beyond his anger. Faith in love to me in not blind faith - if we have blind faith in someone we will never be cognizant of their fallacies and will never question them, and no sound relationship can survive like that.
