Rashmi, I have a different take on this teda business. It my personal feeling that initially the story was according to the usual formula of Jalal "getting attracted to Atifa" and Jodha saving him (the usual Ekta strong-heroine formula). But somewhere in the process I think the feedback backlash seems to have reshaped the storyline a bit. So I guess the teda Jalal concept was introduced. I say this because in my calls to Zee initially he was not saying jalal is teda, but later in the process he started saying "Don't worry, jalal knows what he is doing ...".
So somehow this change of Jalal to teda also meant perhaps that his tedaness was not properly planned and executed. he is seen as too harsh to Jodha in his aim to be teda about Atifa. I can't put my finger on it nor can I say for sure what exactly happened. Only the Creatives will know. But its just my personal hunch that the teda idea was a bit of an afterthought seeing public reaction and so it wasn't executed well.
Again, as I said, its just a feeling I have that some scripting gadbad may have happened after the public distaste of the track. Dunno for sure ...

I agree with you Mansi Ekta shows have a tendency of showing the hero as a weeklong and in her many shows hero fell pray to other women's emotion appeal only to come back to the heroine later. Her heroines are overly strong who can handle anything but are mostly oh hitting the axe with the foot variety. Same trend was followed by many other PHs

But may be with a generational change in the female audience this trend has somewhat changed. Now we do have a few shows where hero is a strong character too. So you can be right . They could have planned it as an affair earlier as Jodhs saving him but later may have realise thar the audiences taste has changed

I don't think they ever planned it as a deliberate "affair" that Jalal was indulging in. I think they may have planned it as if Jalal was caught in the web of Atigfa and Jo had to save him and bring him to realise that. But maybe later they changed to Jalal himself being teda. Dunno ... can't say for sure.

Mansi, thanks for the analysis and some more thanks for the information about the future episodes(thanks to Diksha too).
After yesterday's episode I read a lot about how Jodha has not understood the meaning of love, she is a weakling, not caring about her children. But people are ignoring the circumstances which made her stand at the edge of that well. How cruel her husband's words were to her in this emotional moment of her life, which pushed her towards that step. But she is strong & knows how to conquer a moment's weakness. I really felt like hugging her at that moment.

I am also feeling that the Promo is a dream. Waiting for it to unfold, till then take care...

Hey Mansi,
You are right in saying that CVs have changed the track In between to show a teda Jalal instead of a infatuated Jalal. Since the initial episodes the self talk and Jalal's expressions in private have no indication Of being part of a plan, I am sure at the end we will get a half baked, less than convincing "unfolding" of Jalal's "strategy"

I found the episode to be okayish yesterday,I can understand jodhas state of mind when she attempted suicide...even yesterday afternoon I posted on your thread that with Jalal's declaration, jodha would have been devastated enough to think of suicide.

What i absolutely cannot get beyond is then fact that she went ahead to save KZ all by herself, MB is useless she left jodha alone when KZ first kidnapped her, and now this...CVs don't seem to get the concept of balance, to show a smart Jalal they have to show a dumb jodha...

Which to be mother will think of walking alone in mud and slime, take up arduous tasks like she did? She felt this sense of duty towards KZ, but what about her duty of ensuring safety of her children? If Jo was not pregnant, I could have understood her desire to save KZ, but how can she simply overlook the fact that she is pregnant! If she thinks Jalal is being cruel and unjust to KZ is she not being cruel to Jalal and HB who are eagerly awaiting the birth of these babies whose life she so carelessly endangered!

Even as a queen, did she not consider the possibility of KZ unleashing havoc on others, if she had the presence of mind to free him using rope while soldiers were praying, she certainly was in her sense to remember why Jalal jailed him in the first place.

These kinds of remarks (marked in blue) don't usually affect me at all! I just let it all slide off my back. No point trying to even understand what it all means! Not worth the time and effort!

If she is Ekta's heroine, this effort is nothing. I have seen worse in some other serials!

Attempt to drink poison before marriage...

Attempt to drown herself after MV refused to take her to Amer...

Another feeble attempt to drown herself in Mathura, just before exploding at Jallu...

This one.

We probably shouldn't count the famous drinking of Ben's poison, because even though Jo herself fully expected to die, the goal was to save Jallu.
