A positive post - from someone who wants the serial back on track!
Look at it this way girls - esp Bhavna, Pallu, Rhea, Ela, Shreya and all who're not convinced
Why is Jalal screaming at Jodha - underlying reason - one and one alone - he is tensed + concerned! (He screamed his lungs out at Ruqs too when she was doing hukkah)
It is very very obvious he is tensed about something - now what this tension is, I'm unable to make out.. but he is tensed. One of the tension is because he is very concerned about Jodha. Maybe he wants her to rest like the other Begums would - but we know Jo and she just cannot sit and twiddle her thumbs. She's always up to something. I for one am happy to see him be stern about her visits to the jail, because that is how I see most caring husbands treat their wives (Jodha has been warned before but she doesn't listen - so he got a bit fed up) No point comparing the treatment Jodha received to what Ruqs did - Ruqs is not the heroine and her FP track lasted for 2 weeks. We had three scenes of Ja-Ruqs.. and the rest were all Jo-Ruqs! Jodha is the heroine and TRP aunties are sadistic. It's not only Jodha - but almost every serial heroine who is pregnant - will go through all kinds of drama at sasural!
Bottom line, Jalal does care for Jodha and he'll die if something happens to her. Papita, or pear or watermelon can never change that!
Why is he anti-khyber?
While Jodha has seen Khyber's insaaniyat, Jalal has not. For Jalal he is still the guy who broke into the palace walls, killed x number of soldiers and was an assassin sent to murder Jalal. While I agree it might be difficult for Jodha to see a person who saved her life be taken to the gallows, it would also be difficult for Jalal to pardon a monster-man who was primarily sent by MC to assassinate him, then to watch him enter his harem and eye his wife.
Ja-Atifa Vs Jo-Khyber
I do not support Ja's actions with Atifa one bit. But one dismal truth remains - much as we 21st c women cannot understand the inequality of the equation here, this is the 16th century. While we loose ourselves in the drapes and the silks and the diamonds and the rubies and the grandeur and the Tansen music of a historical, there were many evils at that time too.
A man could have many wives & mistresses, but a woman couldn't even see another except for her husband. (I AM NOT CONDONING what Jalal is doing - but just urging everyone to see a broader picture)
Henry the Eight, had a new mistress every three months (some of them married women too) - he was a very efficient ruler by the way!
However, his favorite wife Anne Boleyn was sent to the gallows, just because some courtiers conspired against her and planted suspicion among the king that she was having a EMA. Yes, by today's standards it is abominable - but, that is how it was - all over the world!
Nevertheless, why Jalal might have left Jodha behind!
Firstly if you look at it this way - its not like by Jalal being in the harem, he is able to protect it 24/7 - there have been so many breaches lately. If Atifa was the one woman who is the assassin and if the basic assassination plan lies with her -
Either she is hypnotizing Jalal - then it makes sense as to why he's behaving this way
If Jalal knows what's happening - then he possibly needs HER ALONE away from the harem to see what she's up to - or at least, to keep her away from the rest of his begumaat!
Even Kabul's previous assassin Benazir was working alone right? She too came with an entire truckload of people!
Positive scenes
I know most are hating the Jalal and Atifa scenes - but look at it this way...
How many times have we watched Jodha and Jalal applying lep, talking of hunars and lying on each other's laps. It was getting SO REPETITIVE I can't even tell you how many of my friends on WA just stuck to reading updates. Now, everyone hates it but everyone is watching again. Most importantly, it is giving me a new Akdha - how I've been dying to see a scene where Jodha comes to Jalal and plays with his collar while she complains...where she misses him while he's away... While from Jalal's side we can't see these reactions maybe cos of the assassination track + khyber tension, from Jodha's side I saw some beautiful and fresh scenes...
Conclusion 😆
^^^ All these are only to keep us going dear.. I could be entirely wrong too and the CVs might have decided one lead is enough to carry the serial on her shoulders while a good Emperor like Akbar could be butchered to nothing. If it's not like this and Jalal genuinely is behaving an idiot then, they can never redeem him.
Anyway, no harm in hoping till we know the truth, right? I am not saying all this because I believe Zee... but saying this because I believe even Indian serials cannot be so bad with one lead for so long 😆 Even vamps in serials are given tracks every once in six months where they temporarily turn good. Our Jalal has been doing nothing from Tasneem and purely by the law of 'Every dog has its day' I'm hoping this day is Jalal's!
I want my Badal-Kajri Ja Jo back - where both were equal, both intelligent, both husband/wife! 😭
