I watched the DD serial online(half of it) and was impressed how fast the story moves and its beautifully written
I wish this serial had been written and as fast as that one it would have become a classic
All people who play the characters are good except the elder Akbar. The child Akbar and teenager Akbar both look good.
Babar and Humayun have done some great acting.
Bairam Khan was very good not very ruthless always a mix of ruthless, mature and emotional more real.
And Hamida and Akbar relationship beautifully portrayed there like real mother and son.
There also Akbar goes to Delhi hearing that Hamida is very unwell and Hamida feeds him ladoo but Mahim comes in between and takes off ladoo and tastes it and gives to Akbar.
There Maham is called Mahim.
But best part is Akbar's wife
First time Akbar meets Ruqaiah he is waiting with Humayun to see his mother first time and Humayun tells to recognize his mom from all women. Ruqaiah gets down first and he says she cannot be my mother she is too small to be my mom. 😆😆😆
And during nikaah Ruqaiah has to be prooded to tell qabool hai and so Akbar says may be she does not want to marry me or has no idea what is marriage 😆😆😆 as if he has an idea 😆😃 but there Akbar is very mature from small age and serious no nonsense child(acts like real akbar)
And adham and aziz discuss now that two best friends ruqaiah and jalal have married, let both of us also marry. So adham says if we both marry how will baby come and aziz says stroke will bring our baby. So adham says stroke will bring baby but how will you feed it milk 🤣🤣
Salima-Akbar: In this serial they show Akbar loves Salima from childhood and she too loves him. But Mahim comes and tells him Bairam Khan too loves her. She asks Akbar to tell BK that Salima is Akbar's only. But Akbar says if Khan baba loves her, she is his. Akbar goes and request Salima to marry his khan baba because although he lose his love his father will get his love. When Salima ask him can he forget his love he says love is about not possessing someone but about scarifice (some great emotional dialogue) and his khan baba happiness is his happiness.
Abdullah Mughal daughter Rabiya and Akbar: Akbar falls in love with Rabiya as soon as he sees her in garden and calls her and proposes his love and all wedding is finalized. But Bairam Khan tells Abdullah Mughal and his family to leave mughal empire that same night or he will kill them. Because Abdullah Mughal betrayed Humayun and joined Kamran and helped Sher Shah Suri defeat Humayun in battle of chausa. So they leave that night. Akbar get to know next day and comes to Bairam Khan to demand questions and BK says he do not want what happened to Humayun to happen to him. Again one more love failure for Akbar because of BK.
BK and Akbar have love-argument relationship always. BK is the strict father figure and Akbar the son who opposes but then obeys or keeps quiet with BK decisions like typical 16th century sons.
BK and Mahim have a great fight going on and they try to kill BK using elephant, assasin etc but no use BK is strong and a good fighter.
I would recommend all to watch Akbar the great classic serial on youtube. You can get a fast paced story about Akbar's life till Salim is born.
Akbar childhood and Humayun story very nicely shown- you feel sympathy for them. And Akbar has hindu friends from childhood. He goes to meet sadhu's and sufi's before marrying Jodha only. He treats all equally and gives justice without religion coming into priority before jodha enters.

I am surprised this is an 1988 episode but quality and sets are very good
