No, there is no alternative to Jodha Akbar. The grand sweep of history, the characters and the ambience is unmatched. When JA goes downhill, as in right now, there are no other choices for me.

there is not an ounce of SBS in the above mentioned shows! the english shows are class apart they cannot be compared..we will be comparing apples to oranges if we start comparing them to indian daily soaps!..JA has lost its quality because a historical can only be stretched so much..if ekta plans to stretch it for years then she has to keep up with the quality which a historical demands..she has team A and team B..team A is used to establish a daily soap, they work maximum from 6 months to one year and move on to some other new show..team B then carries the work..now this type of experimentation can be successful with regular SBSs but not with a historical as it needs continues feed of hard work quality and dedication!...the problem here is that ekta is treating it as any other SBS which will not go well with the viewers..and trps will decide that!

I am a loyal faN of JA...there is no alternative to JA for me
I will always watch JA bcoz I love Akdha
