Yesterday I decided to set aside logic and history for a while and enjoyed the episode which was as seeti maar as a dishoom dishoom Rajnikanth movie. Surprisingly my reaction was the same as yours (which rarely happens😉) and i too loved all the dozen points as you did and enjoyed Abul Mali's dhulayi.

Abul Mali would surely think a hundred times before eyeing anyone's harem with his single eye. He would even think twice before eyeing his own harem.🤣

Dear Mansi,

I am again in a double Hangover mood today.. First by a fantastic episode yesterday and secondly by equally fantabulous post on yesterdays episode.. Thanks Mansi.. for doing this post.. I enjoyed reading every word.. and relived all of yesterdays moments.. It was wonderful to see Jodha's courage.. and from her all begums taking motivation though Rahim had to act as a catalyst so.. kudos to him as well. Great job done by all Haram.. It was loud and clear message that when ladies unite ... they can take on the world... Abul Mali kyaa cheez hai... Jodha Ruks bonding was amazing and too good to be true.. Someone pinch me please.. Maham, for reasons unknown... was superlative with her sword fighting.. Salima with Rahim were adorable..
Everything fell in place yesterday..
But still I have a small grudge..

Why was chilli powder not sprinkled on Abul Malis face.. directly into his eye.. he would have been totally blind.. Wow mazaa aataa..

or When they were showing Jalal being tortured by pouring hot water.. why could not they show... a parallel scene Hot oil being pured over Abul Malis face.. or abul Mali as captive of Haram ladies.. .. or poison being thrown on his face??? Why did these ladies spare him.. Coconut head to Hai.. Usko Jalal hua Baingan bana dete to mazaa aataa.. My fantasy..

But overall fantastic episode.. TRPS are going to rise... but Jalal come back in action... You should have been there to watch your Begums and all Harem in action against Mali.. you would have fainted .. with Joy.. I know...

I hope Jodha does not spare Abul Mali .. she has already brought him to his knees.. she should make him beg for his life... lets hope for the best today...

Neesha, I am in splits laughing at the way you have called Abul Mali a coconut head who has to be made into a Baingan!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mansi, even if I had anything next to me, I would have forgotten that entirely while watching the show. I was totally engrossed in it.

Gem, I just can't believe you have written this, sentimental write up. Hats off to you dear. I loved it where you have mentioned what a woman was and is and why we need to be proud of ourselves. Till such time we treat ourselves as slaves to men or just remember only one or two phrase out of many "kaaryeshu daasi, Shayaneshu ranbha " and feel that is our life is complete then we are wrong. We have to think of the other phrase as well where it is clearly said " Karaneshu mantri" which means be a minister in his administration or when he is need of advise. So it clearly shows that women can think more logically and practically than men and if someone comes to you for some suggestion, that means you are better off or in par with their level of knowledge. So when our ancestors or say like our epics gave women the higher post, why do we tend to go low on that and prefers to be treated as nothing or shit. It also says "Yathra naarya pujyante, ramanthe, thathra devataha" means where they treat their woman as with respect and treat them better, even the God stays there.
We love to read and recite about how Goddess Parvathi took her avatar of Chamundi to kill the demon Mahisasura and we don't feel bad for Lord Shiva and don't think Parvathi out shadowed her husband. It was Lord Shiva's humbleness he granted a boon to Ravan that he can ask for anything and Ravan asked for Parvati and Parvati had to show her other avatar Kali to keep Ravan away from her and made ravan to beg Lord Shivji to take back his wife. We never blame lord Shivji for his humbleness nor we criticize Goddess Parvati for fighting the demons. Lord Shivji didn't anticipated that Ravan might ask for his own wife as boon but he was swooned by Ravan's prayers that he granted his wish. Should we blame him for his bolepan? but we proudly call him Bolenath and pray. Then why should we feel bad if Jalal believes in his sister and try to save her from the wrong and greedy hands of Abul Mali of whose treachery is well known to Jalal?
What if Nigar was in real danger by Abul Mali and if Jalal ignored her request for help, would we have kept quiet? had not we blamed Jalal thinking he just rushes to Jodha's rescue but ignored Nigar, his own sister. That is what we (I mean viewers here) did when he stayed with Jodha and left Atgah Khan to save Ruqu in Benazir track. That's what all talked for days just by watching the precap where it said Jalal will save Jodha from Shenu's attack. All said he was partial and when it comes to Jodha, he will take the reins to his own hands but when it is others, he will leave it to others. even in Ben track, it was Atgah khan who asked him to stay back and went behind Ben to get back Ruqu. And after she came, when he hugged her, everyone made comments that Jodha was dying and here he is hugging Ruq and there by Cvs destroyed his image.
Then when he stayed back with Jodha holding her hand, we felt they made him the majnu from the brave jallad, and spoiled his image. When he waited for long patiently without doubting Jodha on Sujamal case, we blamed just because it was Jodha, he waited so long. As a king, he should have questioned her and asked for explanation. Then when he could not take it any longer and screamed at Jodha and barked his anger by saying leave me and I don't wish to see your face in the morning, we felt he was heartless and he was MCP. And later when he realized his mistake and went in search of her to ask forgiveness, we called him Devdas and this image is not fit for the great ruler.
neither we want him to be a peace monger nor we want him be women hater. neither he should praise Jodha's beauty nor he should appreciate Ruqayya's sharpness in games. We don't want him to discuss issues with Salima nor we want him to take his own stand.
What exactly we want to see in Jalal that suites us? Do we want him to keep romancing his wives or we want him to be always out door and engaged only in fights by brutally killing his enemies?

Jaya, very thoughtful and insightful post! It forces us to think of what kind of Jalal we want! I think everyone should read this and reflect on whether our cribs are fair sometimes. Maybe in the search for "logic" we can expect too much unrealistically high logic levels sometimes!

What an inspiring episode & thank you so much for your writing and covering all the details.

Absolutely loved the episode and the fight scenes.

But the one moment which touched me most was when Jodha touched her belly, felt the life inside, felt the connection with Jalal, the background music at that moment. Still giving me a shiver.

Waiting for Jalal to come back, till then take care..

Yesterday I thought we would see no scenes with Jalal so it came as a surprise when they did show him!
