French cheese?? No, no, my dear, you cannot mean the 3000 odd varieties of French cheese all at one go. Some of them are deliciously light and chalky, others are sweet, some are nutty to the taste, others have a fruity flavour, and so on, like the infinite variety of our mangoes.

I think you mean the blue cheese varieties, with a strong obnoxious smell and veins of blue all over them. They ARE lousy, and are clearly an acquired taste, like the Thai fruit called durian, of which it is said that if it comes into a room, you have to go out!

My dear Divya,

I would request you to

1) Not make any more Take 5s for the present and
2) read my response above to Mandy, or better still, her cri de coeur (cry from the heart) in reply.

Great post!

I completely agree Mandy that this is the not a patch on the Jalal we know ... I think the track that he was truly in his full form was in Sukanya's wedding in Amer where he did things for Jodha but on his own terms and teda ways. He also never let his prestige as a Shehenshah fall ... At least in public

The CVs I think have multiple personality disorder and they treat Jalal's character the same way ... He can only be one thing at a time: a shehenshah, a warrior, or a majnu. And 80% of the time he is the latter.

I am still hooked to the show because of Rajat- who can make a non-kiss look like a kiss- but you know how I have to sing songs nowadays to cheer myself up as I watch it 😆

Why, are they that bad? 😉😆I actually like setting the perfect movie songs for each situation these days ... I need to do something to preserve my sanity

of course, I read it ... And agree it is a "lost cause" ... It looks we can watch it for the 20% where there are sudden glimpses of brilliance or just give up ...

They are never ever bad, my dear Divya, which IS the problem!

If you set out to find 5 positive points about the last 2 episodes, you will manage to do it, but youl will also end up as a confirmed hypocrite, and I am much too fond of you to want that to happen. It was bad enough with your take on the Monday episode!😉

I just wonder how it feels to act in romantic scenes with someone who is standing like a wooden post?? Its a good thing that Rajat is convincing enough to make the scenes work with his great talent. Every time I see the romantic scenes I am constantly reminded of the restrictions that his partner has to keep in mind and as a result they are repeating the same old dialogues and scenes. I know lot of people will get upset but can't help but repeat what I have felt all along that they have chosen a different girl for this role.

No thanks, my dear.

I have nothing against raw milk, for all our forefathers, including the Balagopal, thrived on such milk straight from the cow. But I hate Camembert and Roquefort cheese!

Rajat, my dear, is of the Kamalahaasan class. Kamalahaasan used to say that he never cared WHO his heroine was, or whether he got along with her, as he could romance even a wooden chair.

Someone had commented on this thread that Rajat too feels shy doing intimate romantic scenes. I do not at all think so, In Jalal's fantasy before the dhakka,he was quite comfortable and convincing doing those sensuous scenes.

So, for that matter, was Paridhi in those scenes. She was very good, and all her responses were perfect. It makes the contrast with the present all the more marked.

But even Rajat's resources are being stretched with this current ice maiden. This Jodha seems to prefer to be with Ruqaiya making lep for her to being with Jalal. Enough said!😉
