i'm not Indian by birth but my grandmother's family were from India, so i grew up in a house that was in some way always watching a Indian film or show. so i have a great appreciation for the art form. my love for anything from India was only intensified when i studied Indian history in my four years in university. Akbar and his lineage was one of my most favorite periods and the onset of the show greatly pleased.
i love this show for what it is... a show i love that someone is taking my passion..history and placing it on screen for me to enjoy. i cast no aspersions as to what it is..a show and i know that the creatives will use their liberty to make it fantastic and entertaining. and because it is an Indian show i knew it would be limited to the amount of physical romance between the two main leads. i had accepted that from the beginning and i enjoy it for what it is.
it is very disheartening to come to this forum and read the comments about the supposed poor performance of the lead\s. i am not Indian and i accept that the steamy scenes that we want to see might not be a possibility.

i know everyone has their opinion and i am not one to judge, but i want everyone to consider that
1. the actors may have a problem with the intimacy of the scenes and we must respect that and consider that they are giving us fabulous performances and that's the reason we continue watch despite the "bad romance scenes"
2. that the show has already created a lot of controversy amongst the Hindu community and the creatives are trying to minimize any further controversy.
3.that maybe they are saving up the hot scenes for a later date
4. the romance between jalal and jodha is new to them and it will take a while for it to be comfortable..its as someone said its like they are teenagers discovering what its like to truly be in love for the first time..these experiences are new to both of them in a time where love between a Hindu and a Muslim is probably unheard of.

Hi Chiona.. welcome to forum 😊
@bold
I actually didn't get what religion has to do in their love story? After all, they are lawfully wedded and love between husband and wife is completely acceptable though they belong to different religions? Is'nt it so? 😆

Very true, dear.. Jodha-Jalal are just discovering their love.. they have falen in love and their love is blossoming . There is no need to show physical proximity .. it will take some time.. though they have consummated their marriage..the feeling of love is very new to both of them.. so they are just coming to terms with it... I think CVS are showing this beautifully..I have no grudges whatso ever.. We should enjoy it instead of cribbing.. IThey should understand they are showing historical shw and not Mils and Boons type show.. There is passion, eagerness to be with each other.. they can't show SR type scenes every now and then..right.. Lets enjoy this romantic phase of Jodha Akbar relationship.. be positive .. totally agree with you dear..

what i meant was that their religion plays such a big part of who they are as people and shaped the way their relationship was unsuccessful from the beginning. it only changed when they began to accept the differneces between themselves and their religions and embrace them that we see the development of a relationship where they both love and cherish each other. and from my research a marriage of their kind was VERY rare in the time of akbar even among the common man so it must have been even rarer to have a muslim king marry a hindu princess. and it is because of their love and acceptance of each other and their religion that akbar is so well revered as the king whose liberal policy's helped to develop the india we know today. back then it may not have been as acceptable as it may seem.

Lovely post. Sorely needed. I can't understand the negativity that has crept into the forum. I thought this was because of the stupid Jodha separation track but now everything is hunky dory between Jalal and Jodha, there is plenty of romance but many people are still complaining.

If I wanted to get into a negative frame of mind, why do I need this forum, I could do it by myself. Things have to a pass where I dread coming to this forum because of some new negative post of how they hate this or how they are losing interest, but still have enough interest to come to this forum to make others miserable too.

I am now going to request a few of my favorite writers like DivyaM and Skanda to send me emails when they have new posts. I just don't have the energy to go through all the negative junk to get to their writings.

No one wants steamy scenes...n a cheek peck or a waist hold or a back kiss are hardly steamy 😆
What we want is sensible scenes...not cheap ones like the Hamaam scene yesterday, & not like the imaginary cheek peck...the former was too gross & the latter too school kids like...

& expressing opinions is considered negativity only on the JA forum...nowhere else...we want the PH to sort out problems, whatever they are & move on with a more believable & entertaining drama, & making whatever changes necessary in the process. There have been enough news circulating suggesting the off screen problems since a while now.

How is that negativity?...kindly elaborate...😊

What is SO a Big D in a cheek kiss? Don't we give that to even our guy friends... over here it is a chief wife doing it in their room.. So no point of giving reasons as 8pm slot or anything. It is the actors who need to understand that this is 21st n they need to get out of the conservative frame of mind or the show. Bcoz of one certain person why does the audience have to bear this ruining of their fav show n couple. I have loved a show like after a decade and this is what am getting..! Even a small kiss is Bigger than watching a Sunny Leone doing Jism2
