This is what I have always said from the beginning: it will be extremely difficult for Akbar to win over his son and make him forget the years of suffering for his mother and of constant humiliation for him.
When he learns the truth eventually, his feelings towards Akbar would harsher than those of Karna towards Kunti, for Kunti was a helpless young girl facing a huge scandal if she had kept Karna. Akbar was an all powerful emperor, so there would be no excuse for him in Salim's eyes.
