It is normally Bahu in our customs n South Asia culture who adopts in laws customs but here with all her greatness she never show any inclination towards her inlaws culture , custom and religion ..even show certain type of rigidity ... Her manju although keep giving, all credit to her for all his secular, religious tolerance and good deeds but reality is she is one of most prejudice person for her religion , her cast, custom, culture and ritual shown in this show

sara, i think akbar was the chosen one, he was the rare gem!..u know how difficult it must have been to swim against the flow!..he had power..he had everything..he could have misused his power and made everyone obey with the whip of his power and force everyone to convert into islam and that is what many did..he was tolerant and secular..that was him, his personality..he was not forced to do anything..and showing him do the sthapna is just one of his examples of being a great king, and as far as jodha is concerned she had not accepted him as her own..now lets see how she will reciprocate his gesture and if cvz will keep on showing her rigid they will butcher her character and i do not think real jodha would have been that rigid!..i will comment on jodha's adaptation after seeing jalal's devotion towards her religion as per upcoming episodes because so far she has respected his religion but not adapted and same for jalal..respect has been mutual!

You are right they agreed that she did not want to change her religion. They still showed Jodha going to holy places to offer prayers and doing namaz along with Jalal, during the tiger attack track.
Also they showed her reading Quran and learning Urdu.
I am sure they will show more of this in further...Jodha will get used to lot of mughal cultures and religion and Jalal towards hinduism.

i too think they will show her slow adaptation in future with her own will!

watched the epi after a lot of struggle..got lost in finding appropriate website and then finally found one where i could watch in peace but it was stopping in between..bad signal i supose or weak network..whatever appropriate technical term!

the best part of the episode was the sthapna of kahna's murti..many of us will have mixed views..some will think why jodha's welcome was done according to her culture since she is a wife of a mughal..and some will be very happy that akbar respected her beliefs and did the grand welcome her way...now this is what i think...

-this is another episode that shows akbar's secular thoughts on religion

-it was not just kahna's sthapna it was sthapna of lost honor of a hindu begum in mughal household

-it was sthapna of a mughal emperor's love for his hindu begum

-it was sthapna of trust..love..and respect that will be the base of this epic love story

like they say if u want to be treated in a way then treat other people the same way..every action will have its equal and opposte reaction..charity begins at home...akbar being a secular and fair ruler was proved by abolishing the teerth tax and in return the hindu awaam gifted him kuraan..a way of showing respect for his religion..and this was the base of his relation with a united hindustan...and now at home he did kahna's sthapna along with jodha will be the base of a divine foundation of his fair and secular practices at home..ghar aur awaam dono hi ke hain aap zil-e-ilahi..akbar the great i salute you...!

Mandy Nice post 👍🏼

But I have a feeling Jalal is sure to catch some heat from the Maulavies for this recent act of idol worship. Adham will make an issue out of it and take advantage of the situation.

One more thing, try desitvbox, com for the online episodes. That's a good site and the episodes are up within 10 min max of the airing.

Good post Mandy !
I watched the show after a whole month and found the episode well-executed and for a change none of the scenes looked OTT. I guess Santa directed the whole episode.

I din't like the whipping concept of CVs, I would have loved to watch a subtle and more emotional conversation between them, after all its the first sensible one after all the mess created by both. But lets wait and watch 😉

I'm loving it how CVs are handling his transformation into a secular king ! It started during Ajmer Shairf trip when he gave her freedom to pray only if she wants to and completed when the awam gave him quran-e-sharif. I would love if they show Birbal and Fazl's entry post this romance track and focus more on how he propounded Din-i-Ilahi.

I guess comparing Jalal and Jodha might be a tad wrong. Jalal was a true secular and respected all the religions equally. Jodha might not be secular but respected other religions equally too. The way she dresses, eats or does pranaam or even talks might not be her rigidity. It's the way she's brought up. Once can't change those inculcated traits. What matters is she respects other religions and even is shown willing to learn about them.

We all know Akbar was completely open minded and a true visionary. So comparing his virtues with her would always lead to disparity.
