TFS! Absolutely beautiful pictures, Jodah! The entire garden and tombs and mosque and everything look so freshly built and majestic! I can't believe they are so old and have been restored again. The entire place is ethereal. Seems like a very peaceful and mesmerizing place. I wish I could go there! 😊

If thee had been water flowing thru the water tunnel, then it would have looked even lovelier. I agree with Maddy's Q. How was this place kept safe during the Afghan war and even now when there is so much strife going on there?

I wish Indian buildings are also restored and maintained like this. And I mean not just the govt but also the people. We should learn to respect our heritage, instead of going to historical monuments and etching our names there.

thanks yes radikha the restoration department did a splendid job even i'm too wishing to visit there once including the Mughal places in India & Pakistan 😊

In Christianity and Judaism its believed that if a tree is planted near the tomb or grave of person and it keeps blooming that signifies the souls resting there are very pure and good. Its common practice in many parts of Europe/US to plant a flower tree or plant near head of tomb in graveyard. Indeed in china all people plant trees near the grave of loved ones and if the plant or tree flowers it means they(dead relatives) have unending and lasting happiness after death in heaven. Trees are commonly planted as memorials to people in all parts of world.
I did not know it means same in Islam too. Thanks for letting me know.

thanks for the info i didn't knew about the grave planting in china & Europe that
planting or putting flowers etc on graves in Islam some says permissible & some said not but i read that those trees are not planted nor they give water to them to grow & i was surprised to read about the people believe 😊

I never knew y the trees are planted near the graves, so thank u for enlightening us wid this new info.

I have Q, U said Babur is taken from Agra and buried in Kabul in 1544? Who did this act? Humayun? Wasn't he fighting war at this time for his kingdom?

I've read it was Babur's beloved Afghan wife Bibi Mubarika Yousufzai (Bega Begum) who decided to bury his grave as per his last wish. She along with other harem ladies took the charge of moving it to Kabul. I'm not sure but I think she is also buried at Bagh-i-Babur.
