I think Maham Anga, knew that Jalal would be emperor and would be more than her own son would ever be, and that is why she gave all her time to him. A true mother does for her children unconditionally, without pointing out everything she has done for them. That is a mothers job, to raise her children, give them everything she can, protect them, shower them with love etc. Maham did all this, but after remembered each little thing, and threw it in Jalal's face. What kind of mother does this? She chose to be his mother, and by taking that title she chose to give to him unconditionally, but she did everything for her own benefit.

Just her ditching her other son, to pay attention to another, goes to show that she is not a good mother. She gave all of her attention to Jalal, because she is greedy and always was. She knew Jalal could give her power, the second she picked him up, when he was a baby. Maham Anga, probably will realize now, that she did wrong. I don't think she herself realized that she was doing everything for herself. In her head she kept counting the things she did for Jalal, and thinking she is a great mother because she is doing so much for him. But she didn't realize that a true mother, never counts the things she does for her children.

As for MA, i really feel bad for her. I think except for BK murder (since she thot BK ll make Jalal against her), MA stayed true to Jalal till Jodha came into his life.

Her eyes saw wat no one else perceived at that time that Jalal ll fall for Jodha. So she indeed is very intelligent and has good fore thinking👏

In the midst of winning Jalal and make Jodha go away, she lost herself. She stooped so low to even kill Ruks child. If she really wanted to kill Jalal's waaris, y didn't she do the same saazish wid Ruks too even before Jodha came?

I think wid the entry of Jodha, she realized her insecurities for herself and also for her son which made her do all these things. And Adham also didn't help her wid his character😕 Had Adham been a good one, may be MA wudnt hv done wat she did.

But I do agree that, na jaane, wat and all ppl do in possessiveness. And she is possessive abt Jalal to a great extent which is why she hates Jodha and doesn't want to share Jalal wid her.

I dont kno how the history played out in real. But Ashwini has made this character a memorable one. Its another feat in terms of achievement for her.

I agree with Shreya... MA has selective amnesia... where she too only remembers the blows to the Ja-Jo equation...what about all the instances where she's caused him such unimaginable hurt like killing off his own babies..which human would do that - forget grandparent?

Fabulous post, Sandhya. My thoughts on MA's relationship with Jalal, similar to what I had posted on another thread a few days back:

Beautifully written sandhya..excellent.. 👏 ...when I read dis post I felt mixed feelings inside me..we r gonna miss jalal's badi ammi...I wil miss Ashwani and her acting..more dan that i'l miss MA, not MA , but badi ammi..for d first time I'm saying dis dat i'l miss a negative character ..
Anyway no one can denay that she loved jalal without any motive when he was a kid..That time her love was pure and selfless..when jalal became shehensha, she loved jalal and shehensha jalal equally..But after some point of time , her love reduced to the shehensha who is going to rule the whole hindustan..she totally forgot jalal- her beloved son..
