Aunty, how ever do u write like this in such a pleasing way not hurting others and at the same time get the point across👏

So guys, now that the actors are free and back to the normal schedule, all I am happy abt is that there ll be a full stop to Jalal crying every minute.

Y cudnt the CVs handled and planned it in a better way than to distort history so much and show Jalal as a cry baby who wud hv filled one big reservoir by now in Agra😕

Wat do u think on how the story ll go forward now?

Krishi, Shyamala is a career diplomat!!!! Did you forget that most important aspect - This is one ability that we all should imbibe from her!!!!! And diplomacy and tact, once apart of your life, will always be a part of you.

Neena dear,

Quantity can never compensate for quality. A fine actor can manage to stay in your mind with just a 5 minute cameo in a 150 minute film.

As for Jodha last night, or in fact for the last few episodes, she has been looking (a) blank, (b) angry/sulky or both or (c) glaring at some distant object as if she is in the middle of a nightmare.

Her expressions during the aarti in the Kali temple, when she looked all set to offer Jalal's sar to the Devi all over again, were more ferocious than anything else, and when she was questioning Shaguni Bai, she looked less like a virahotkhandita naayika (heroine separated from her beloved) and more like a tax assessee questioning the chartered accountant on the admissibility of a tax deduction. There was no anguish, no longing, nothing.

It was the same yesterday in the tel maalish scene with Shehnaaz. Jodha seemed to be struggling to get some emotion thru that she could not manage to put across. The last closing line was absolutely flat. There was no gentle pleasure at the memory, no coquetry, nothing.

The actress has done much better and can do it. So I no longer know what to make of it. So, if you want more quantity re: Jodha, you would also have to insist on better quality of the direction or the lines.

Shyamala Aunty

aunty i agree
what i meant was these days her scenes are too short and poorly directed
they are repetitive😊
maybe becoz of offscreen issues of director😊
also someone said paridhi was on leave
i think paridhi is has gr8 caliber as reflected in post vishpaan and kajari track
but recently she is not utilized properly😕

I agree completely with your last comment, Neena. I simply LOVED Jodha during those episodes, and that showed in my posts of those days.

The Sunlight on a butterfly's wings is one of my best posts in this forum, and I was very happy with her when I wrote the Camelot posts as well. I have always wished that she would go back to being Kajri; my hopes for this were the highest when they were both in Mathura, but to no avail, alas!

Krishi my dear, what a sweet thing to say! Thank you, and my former bosses in the MEA would be pleased to hear this!😉

What is this about the actors being on leave? I do not quite understand your comment here, but it does not matter so long as Jalal stops crying!😉 I was so fed up with him this last week, and that shows in my latest Depression unbounded post, which you might have read.

Adiana my dear, that is very kind too, and thank you for reminding me of my antecedents! I need that, for at times here, what with the lousy script and the wayward characters, I often feel anything but diplomatic, or non-violent either!😉

As for the importance of tact and diplomacy in our daily lives, I agree with you most emphatically. They are like lubricant is a machine. It keeps it running smoothly and minimises wear and tear. But see, it does not work on people who are determined to be abrasive and negative. Kya karein?

Beyond this I dont have anything to add - RT and Ashwini as usual were their superlative selves - And best part, RT has lost serious weight!!!

The Emperor has the worst job - MA gambled but lost it all - HB for once was a mother who was disturbed for her son and son alone - and finally Jodha seems to be shown missing her husband (though the actress still has a long way to go) - AK shows the anger of a son - and poor Ruqs shows the despair of one defeated by fate.

Adi, I too liked the eppy for the same reasons you have counted. Only I didn't think it dragged too much. For that matter this last week quite action packed.

Rajat and Ahswini had the free run this week. They made the mostest of it. MA is a perfect villain because she is frightening in her grey shade. You can's blindly hate her because of the genuine love she carries for Jalal. At the same time her deeds are pure evil. I'm not referring to Jodha-Jalal MU. Frankly in that she just nudged Jalal to think what she wanted him to think. Rest was done by Jalal and Jodha (mainly) by themselves. She has convinced herself of the rightness behind her acts with self-serving logic. She is not evil because she has to be evil, like so many of Ekta's vamps. Her badness is counter balanced for the love she carries for Jalal. She gave in to a brief temptation to her so called desire to put him in his place, but after that she was really aghast at what she had said. Ashwini was just superb there.

Ruq's despair !! One can see her POV. She is like a frightened child who is going to lose an only constant in her life. She somehow has associated love of post with her relation with Jalal. I am a little confused, whether she's afraid to lose him or her importance in his life. May be it's a combination of both.

Jodha Bai ke kya kehne. Slowly slowly jaag rahi hai. With this speed, no wonder it took 7 years for Salim to make an entry.😉

i just want jodha to retur to Agra now😭
her scenes are like filler nowdays
maham -jalal scenes are great but they are stretching it like infinity😕

Aunty, the actress portraying Jodha was never fantastic, but she wasn't hopeless either. She got the job done.

I don't know what's it with her nowadays. But could it be because of her tiff with the director? Her screen space is drastically reduced. And when she comes on screen, her scenes are dismal at their best.
