Thanks everybody for helping make this thread inspirational rather than irrational. I have noticed that we all have varied points of view but we never try to impose our views on others and we also do not believe in trashing characters, actors and the like.

What's the point of doing that anyway? Is anybody giving a certificate for how "bashing" a post is?

Give her time to feel comfortable with it again. And it is important always to see a subject from all sides. Jalal is showing one side of love and the way someone who is ready for it acts. Jodha is showing another side of love and the way one who is unready for it acts. neither is "great" nor "dumb". How cann two people think identically, or how can we expect two people to think identically? The beauty of any story is to see how different characters deal in different ways with different subjects. If everone were the same what is the interest in the story?

Also that line I have marked in blue ... I think you have not caught the correct meaning of what she said. She ws not asking herself, she was asking Kanha. And she was saying "Kanha, you know that I don't want to get entangled in love and then see it slip away from me. It is very difficult to bear when it goes away. So when I have left it behind and come here, why are you reopening my wounds by bringing the Shahenshah here?" That is what she meant.

I am really glad that I logged in today. I read some good, positive posts.

Here is the issue is of trust, not of love. Jalal need not prove his love to her, but make her trust him.

Jalal need to assure Jodha that he will be with her, no matter what. That she can trust him with her life, and her heart. This needs time and patience. You need give Jodha the heeling time.

When with all others he can be very much controlled Jalal. Only Jodha can drive him to extreme emotions.

It is like for Jalal, it is either Jodha is or Jodha isn't - nobody else occupies that part of his mind also. He wants everything she can bring to his life cos he knows nodboy else can and only Jodha can make him truly happy or truly miserable. There is just no middle ground for him with Jodha.
