Jodha can easily spare Sujamal's life by asking Jalal to do so. Jodha does have that much of power, whether she cares to admit or not. She has been given lots of respect by not only her husband but also her mother in law and Salima. When she can press the case of Sharifuddin to the entire khandan, she could not do the same for Suja if it comes down to that?

The question is not is it right for her to chose one and abandon the other. Its the question of what was the right course of action to be taken so that no party gets hurt. She has sneaked behind his back and repeatedly kept mum when he asked her if something is bothering her. Would he now feel kindly toward Sujamal when he knows its him she has been meeting? Is she not endangering her relationship with her husband by hiding the truth?

Meeting Suja was not the problem. But promising that she will not tell anything to Jalal is.

Here she is not thinking about anything else other than how to save them both from the danger present on their lives and she does not care who will think what of her and how they react to what she is doing!!

She hardly ever thinks what people think of her from the beginning. It was part of Jodha's charm. She does not condone herself to the conventional ways, which sets her apart from an ordinary female. But when it is done in excess the question of does it ever matter to her what her loved ones go through come about. Does she ever care of her husband's feelings? It is not enough just to keep our loved ones alive. There is more to loving than that.

The perfect example of her not caring about anything else is her leaving harem duties despite knowing many people dont want her to do so including Jalaal, yet she is doing so!

The perfect example of her giving no damn when it comes to the welfare of her husband when she walked out of her room with kahana in tow, after being insulted by Rukaiya in ben track. She truly couldn't give a damn for so focused she was at saving him.

She took charge of the Harem for the reason of championing the plight of the voiceless i.e. the slaves and daasis whom she felt that were being mistreated etc. She has already achieved that.

That is how dedicated she is to both Jalaal and Sujamal!! All she wants at this point is to save them any way possible!

Why can't she just tell Jalal? Problem solved. Her so called dedication is costing her marriage and endangering her bhaisa at the same time. Why do all these people have a very jelebi way of thinking?

Hope m not offending anyone here but thats how i feel and connect with Jodha on her current situation!!

i don't think jodha is wrong here, sujamal is innocent and yet proven culprit. he def. needs jodha's assistance at this moment. had he been not there in utsav , abul mali would have succeeded in killing jalal,and if jodha tells the truth, it's gonna create more problems for sujamal. jalal is also reasonable at his place. but lets see how these two lovers are gonna deal with this situation. i don't want jalal insulting jodha again, since taunting has started can't predict what will happen next.
