Deegaji - I do not agree that Rukayya was a nourishing leaf!
If anything she is the taker in this relationship, Jalal has indulged and pampered her too much so she has got this bloated ego

I was watching some old episodes yesterday, there is announcement Jalal has come back to Agra, all other Begums want to meet him and Ho asks Ruk - she say NO LET HIM COME TO ME! BTW this is 16th century woman!

That has been always her attitude she wants to be the Alpha in this relationship. So she loved to say I control his head. Now Jalal has found his heart and it is ruling his head and she wants to take control of both
- by plotting and manipulating her way to it!

Ruqu was his only frined in his lonely life till such tuime he got Jodha. she had shaped her life to suit his life. Ruqu had helped him to live some better life with her friendship, she had been his minister who monitored his personal & proffesional life. She had taken the responsibility to take care of his other wives and to keep them under control for him and to keep note of his schedules. She had been his administrator who always read and wrote his letters for him, though offlate Jalal used all and sundry like MA to read his most important letter. Had he not done that mistake, may be Jodha would have never have refused him and he would never have confined that info to Ruqu and Ruqu would not have raged to hate Jodha which had resulted in the entry of Ben.

The only difference is a leaf can only have certain destiny - she cannot become a bud or butterfly or a fruit - but human beings can! That is the beauty of their lives

Unlike the leaf, Rukayya can try to become anything she wants to - she will not get Jalal's love now that he has Jodha in his heart, but he will give her affection and respect and different kind of love.

It is Rukayya who is choosing to shrivel and rot by staying near the manure😉 at the root of tree and not try to raise her head and get sunlight and life

Wonderful analysis Jaya...

But I dont agree with the prtrayal of Ruku...The truth is that there was no real friendship between Ruqlal...She was never there when he was sad or needed a shoulder to cry upon...but yes she was always there when he wanted to belittle or humiliate some one...There friendship has not been beautiful but a relationship between two power hungry ppl...but now Jalal has moved on to be a better human being ...So she is left alone...

You are right about the leaf never to become a flower or fruit but for the plant to flourish, it needs the help of green leaves. It is true that unless the leaf accepts the fact that it has to grow along with the plant and stay high and away from the soil (people like MA), it will have a early whithering which will be unfortunate. Since the leaf is ignorant of this, it will be the responsibility of its friend and the new friend to take it up alongwith them.

Ela we have seen the Ruqu from the time we saw Jodha. But we have heard it even from SDalima Begum that Ruqu was a good friend of Jalal from Childhood and even seen teh glymps where they showed Jalal not interested in Studies and Ruqu assuring him always to fulfill his that shortfall. She had advised him that it is necessary for an emperor to be educated / literate but since he finds it hard, she will educate herself for him and be an intregral part of shi life to fill in that blank.

If a Bhabdhi (Maham) can be power greed and think of brining up her son on teh Mughal Thaqth and the soldier Bhairam Khan can think of ruling the empire through the shoulders of Jalal, how can we say Ruqu was the only one who was power greed? may be it came natural to hera s she is the Grand daughter od Babur.

Yes Jalal has moved on to be a better human being in teh company of Jodha. Till such time Ruqu gets that selfless love from someone (either Jalal or Jodha), she may not change but the moment she is touched by that magic wand, even she will change for a better person.

Ela you right about the arrogance of Ruq. She doesn't understand the soul & its necessity. Having been hearing from Jalal that he doesn't have the heart, even she has buried her heart in the depth of her arrogance and highhandedness, that she is unable to even remember she once had an heart. Though she is trying to say she rules Jalal's mind and hence wants to rule his heart, she needs to understand, Jalal has already recovered his heart though he is still reluctant to accept it and even she needs to recover heart from the trash. She only thinks she can rule on anyone just with authority and there is no need for soul.

has started her friendship. so Ruk should accept it. Friend's (FRIEND) also a friend.

jodha has come your house, (others begum;s also) in our home when another person comes

why she not becoming alert?

I think Ruk not go to SIKIRI, FROM back side.in these way she is damaging her.

practically in real life if a person dominates, extra interfairs, in our life we withdraw, jalal is doing that. HE accepted in sikiri, HE accepted her foolishness. she not consoles him but he

never complaint. but now jodha is in his life. HUMEN nature, if someone touch our HEART

we feel comfort. THIS IS NATURE LAW. nobody can change this. so RUK should accept
